Trail Running calendar near Dyffryn Nantlle 2026-2027

A 24 hour ultra from Prestatyn along the Offa's Dyke Path where solo runners and teams aim to reach the furthest south point in the allotted time. Six staffed checkpoints, GPS tracking and a mandatory kit list support participants.

A 115 km multi-discipline route from Abersoch beach to Snowdon and back, combining a 1.5 km sea swim, road cycling, a mountain ascent via the Watkin Path and a final 1 km beach run.

Trail races around Moel Famau in the Clwydian Range offering Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k on hilly off-road routes. Checkpoints provide refill taps, mandatory safety kit is required and canicross entries are accepted.

An off-road 10 km run in Llangollen along the canal on 9 May 2027, with an undulating yet quick course. The event includes a finisher medal and a separate one mile race for children aged 5 to 10.

A measured 50 km route from Telford Town Park to Shrewsbury that passes historic sites such as Ironbridge, Buildwas Abbey and Wroxeter Roman City. The event features chip timing, five nutrition stations and a bespoke finish medal.

A 5 km muddy obstacle course at Birkenhead Park featuring climbing, crawling and sliding. Organised by Cancer Research UK, the event uses staggered wave starts and requires participants to be 13 or older.

A fully supported trail running event in May 2027 following the Heart of Wales Line Trail from Llandrindod Wells to Craven Arms, with three waymarked distances: 50 miles, 26 miles and 16 miles.

Three trail races (50, 26, 16 miles) follow the final sections of the Heart of Wales Line, finishing at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, with baggage transfer and varying checkpoint support by distance.

A 47 mile single day ultra from Barmouth to Llanidloes following National Cycle Route 8. It is Day 3 of the six day MTC CYMRUN, limited to 40 competitors, with mandatory kit, competitor tracking and a finisher medal.

A single-day ultra of about 35.5 miles from Wigan to Tarporley, run as Day 4 of the MTC ALBION end to end series. Field is limited and the race enforces a 4.0 mph minimum pace; navigation, tracking and mandatory kit are required.
