A pair of A category fell races in the Duddon Valley, featuring an 18 mile / 29 km long route with 1830 m climb and a 10 mile short route. Both require map and compass skills, appropriate kit and pre-entry.

A 10 mile category A fell race in the Duddon Valley on 30 May 2026, climbing about 3000 feet up Dow and Caw. Pre entry only and minimum age 18; map and compass skills plus required mountain kit are essential.

Peebles Pootle is an offroad walking event around Peebles offering two route options with significant ascent. Checkpoints follow walking opening times but runners may participate.

A two day off road running festival at Grasmere Showground offering trail races, a 24 hour ultra loop and an OMM Lite Trail Quest with solo and team options. Family races and camping are available.

Trail runs at Druridge Bay Country Park in Morpeth offering 5 km and 10 km courses over paths, trails and beach. The event is canicross friendly and supports HospiceCare North Northumberland.

A 16 km unmarked hill race in the Lowther Hills with 1200 m of climb, limited to 200 runners. Competitors must carry mandatory kit, bring a refillable cup for water stations, and be prepared to navigate open, pathless terrain.

A trail event on 31 May 2026 around Ullswater offering three distances. The 33.5 mile ultra includes Lowther and Dalemain loops, the 21.5 mile is a full lake lap, and the 10 mile runs from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding.

Chariots of Fire Beach Race is a 5 km out and back on West Sands, St Andrews, with a 1 mile children's fun run. The event uses chip timing, offers post race refreshments and raises funds for RNLI and local charities.

Three Ullswater Way trail races in Cumbria offer a 33.5 mile Ultra, a 21.5 mile Trail 20 and a 10 mile Trail 10. Registration is at Jenkins Field in Glenridding and Trail 10 starts at Pooley Bridge.

June 2026

Three evening *5 km* races in Edinburgh at Inverleith Park, Leith Links and Fettes. Individual entry is £12 or £30 for all three; chip timing, photos, marked routes and age-category prizes are provided.

Stickle Grind 650 on 5 June 2026 is a 2.4 km vertical race from Lanty Slees Stickle Barn near Ambleside that gains 650 m to the summit of Harrison Stickle, with a manned checkpoint, safety team, and a recycled medal for finishers.

A 50 km out and back ultramarathon along the Ayrshire Coast starting and finishing at Irvine Beach, running across beaches, promenades and trails from sunset into sunrise. Aid stations at 12, 25 and 37 km; drop bag option at 25 km.

A 38 km mountain race in the central Lake District with 2800 m ascent on technical single-track trails, a newly designed route from Lanty Slees Stickle Barn and a 12 hour maximum time, ranked in the Skyrunning UK series.

A 56 mile Southern Upland Way race from St John’s Town of Dalry to Moffat with live GPS tracking, mandatory kit requirements and checkpoint support. The event has 400 places, a 20 hour cut off and official UTMB ITRA points.

A 104-mile ultramarathon on the Southern Upland Way from St John’s Town of Dalry to Galashiels on 6 June 2026, with 4611m ascent, live GPS tracking, mandatory kit requirements and limited entries.
