Trail Running calendar near Auldgirth 2026-2027

The GBultras | Ultra Great Britain will take place in Stranraer on Saturday 8 August 2026.

A 215 mile ultramarathon along the Southern Upland Way from Portpatrick to Cockburnspath with 12 checkpoints, mandatory navigation skills and a 100 hour cut-off. Entry is by application and runners must carry required safety kit.

A 17 km fell race around the east side of the Duddon Valley with 906 m of ascent and summit checkpoints at Grey Friar, The Old Man of Coniston and White Pike. Entries are limited to 200 and strict FRA kit and navigation rules apply.

The The Maverick Ochil Hills Trail will take place in Stirling on Saturday 8 August 2026. You can run between 5 and 50 kilometers.

Experience 13 miles of scenic fells and trails starting from the historic Lowther Castle. This marked course features river crossings and 1400ft of ascent with all proceeds supporting the Eden Valley Hospice.

Forestburn is a short fell race near Rothbury on 9 August 2026. The course is about 5.6 km with 150 m of climb and is held at the Gate Pub as part of the Simonside Country Fair.

Join this classic Keswick fell race in the Lake District on Wed 12 Aug 2026 for a lively 4.7 mile trail challenge with 280 m climb and a summit of Latrigg. On the day entries are welcome, fee £5 and runners must be 16 or older.

Join the Rusland 5, a scenic fell race across Rusland Showfield in the Lake District featuring a 4.8 mile route with 310 m of climb and shorter senior and junior options. Race entry is free; the show costs £5 and accepts entries on the day.

A 6.5 km circular hill race in Oldhamstocks with roughly 200 m of ascent, mostly on rough track with short tarmac sections. Race numbers are issued at the village hall and on the day entry is available for a cash fee.

A trail half marathon in Morland, Eden Valley, covering 13.6 miles of mixed off road terrain with about 1330 ft of ascent. The largely self navigated route has two checkpoints and a five hour cut off and welcomes runners and walkers.

Join the Keswick Sports Fell Race in the Lake District on Sun 16 Aug 2026 for a punchy 3 mile, 290 m climb course from Fitz Park Cricket Pavilion. Entry on the day and juniors welcome with big prizes for record breakers.

An upland fell race based at the People's Hall in Sedbergh covering 22.5 km with 1830 m of ascent. The route crosses the grassy Howgills with steep climbs and fast descents that test fell running skills.

Fell races at the Lakeland Country Fair in Torver include junior and senior courses run under FRA rules; entry is free but fair admission applies. The senior race reaches the summit of Coniston Old Man and full kit is required.

Tackle a classic Lake District fell race from Maggs Howe, Kentmere with a punchy 6 km course and 400 m of climb to test strength and navigation. Entry is on the day only and runners should bring waterproofs, hat and gloves; parking is limit..

Tackle the Hawkshead Show Fell Race in the Lake District a scenic 7.8 km with 244 m of climb through classic Lakeland terrain. Entry is on the day with show admission; seniors 17 plus and children's sports take place on the field.

A Lake District fell race from the White Horse Inn covering 6.3 km with 882 m of ascent; entry on the day for runners aged 18 and over with a £5 fee and limited parking at the pub.

A 19.5 km fell race around Hartsop with 1,370 m of ascent. The route visits Rest Dodd, the col beneath High Raise, Kidsty Howes, Nan Bield Pass and Gray Crag and includes a 70 minute cut off for CP2.

A challenging fell race in Northumberland's beautiful countryside. The 5.8km route features 300m of climb and is part of the regional championship. Entry is available on the day.

A 33 km fell race across the Ochil Hills with 1770 m of ascent, starting at Glen Sherrup and finishing at Stirling University. Summit controls mark the route and runners must carry compulsory map, compass, whistle and waterproofs.

A 10th anniversary trail ultra around the Loch Eck Loop on 22 Aug 2026. The solo race is 52.22 km with 983 m ascent and a three leg relay is available; the course is signposted with two checkpoints and finisher goodies.
