Ochil Ultra

The Ochil Ultra is a trail event organised by Wee Run Events across the Ochil Hills. The 2026 edition is the ninth running of the Ochil Ultra and the fourth running of the Ochil 100. Entries for 2026 are open and close on 22 August 2026.

Available distances

  • 50 mile ultra Stirling to Perth, solo or team relay
  • 30 mile ultra Auchterarder to Perth
  • 100 mile Ochil 100 Perth to Stirling and back, limited entry

Both the 30 mile and 50 mile routes use the Core Path Network and are fully marked and marshalled. Chip timing and GPS tracking are provided. Water is available at checkpoints and drop bags are conveyed to checkpoints roughly every ten miles. Medals are awarded to all finishers and prizes are given to category winners including male, female and non binary awards plus a team prize. Photographers, food, refreshments, toilets and sports massage are available at the finish.

Cutoff and safety information notes that there are no fixed cutoffs at the early checkpoints but participants moving at about 5 km per hour or less may be asked to retire, with greater caution in poor weather. A diversion route exists to avoid the final hill if runners do not reach the diversion point by the event cutoff; the race director s decision on safety is final.

The Ochil 100 is limited to runners who meet qualifying criteria and requires a support crew. Compulsory kit includes a head torch, whistle, mobile phone, emergency blanket, emergency food and drink, the issued GPS tracker and emergency contact details.
