Floors Castle Trail Race 2026

The Floors Castle Trail Race is a series of trail running events held on the grounds of Floors Castle near Kelso. The event in 2026 is the third edition and is organised by TriWorks, the same team behind the East Fortune Duathlon.

Races take place on hard packed gravel trails through castle gardens and ancient woodlands. The course is described as undulating but fast and finishes on the main lawn directly in front of the castle, where the race village and finish line are located. Floors Castle is private property; it is open to the public between May and September.

Distances offered:

  • 10 km : two laps around the castle grounds, age 17+
  • 5 km : one lap on hard packed gravel trails, age 15+
  • 3 km Junior : Age 9 to 14, aimed at first time racers

Event services listed include chip timing, entry to the Floors Castle estate, free car parking, optional finisher medal, post race refreshments, and comprehensive race medical cover. Early bird and standard entry fees are provided for the adult distances and the junior race, with a Scottish Athletics member discount noted.
