The Floors Castle Trail Race takes place on 28 September 2025 at the Floors Castle estate in the Scottish Borders (Kelso TD5 7RL). The event is organised by the team behind the East Fortune Duathlon and will be permitted by Scottish Athletics. Trail surfaces are described as hard packed gravel on an undulating course that showcases the castle grounds. The trail races run alongside the Floors Castle Duathlon on the same day.
Races, course and entry
- 10km - two laps of the 5km course; age 17 and above.
- 5km - one lap of the 5km course; age 15 and above.
- Junior 3km - shortened loop circumnavigating the castle; age 9 to 14.
The 5km loop explores the estate and is described as undulating but fast. The Junior 3km starts with a fast, flowing descent, includes a short climb in the second half, and finishes with a sprint. Entry closes on 25 September 2025. Entry fees vary by race and date, ranging from £8 to £25; discounted rates apply until 31 July 2025. Race T-shirts and wooden finisher medals are optional purchases; entries made by 31 July 2025 are guaranteed the option to purchase a T-shirt or receive a medal.
