TRAILDOG UltiMutt

TRAILDOG UltiMutt is a canicross and family event in Northumberland at Byerley Stud, Wallridge, NE20 0SZ on Sunday 27 September 2026. The event runs over a 5k course with obstacles, some mud and returning paddleboards. Organisers will announce some obstacles before the event and keep others as a surprise.

The course will be way marked and marshalled. The event is fully timed and results will be uploaded online; participants also receive an SMS with their finish time. A course map is to be confirmed.

Entry details include a personalised run number, accurate finish time plus SMS result, event photos, a bespoke wooden medal, dog treats and human treats. Entry cost is £34 plus a processing fee. Children may enter free with any full paying adult and a child name is required on the entry.

Age rules state participants must be 11 years or older to enter the 5k and dogs must be at least 1 year old. A Family Wolfpack Run is available for children up to 16 years; children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

Participation rules and equipment requirements are specified. Reactive dogs should wear a Baskerville style muzzle. Canicross runners must use correct canicross kit; walking waves require no specialist equipment. Choke chains, slip leads and restrictive harnesses are not permitted. A flat, two lap five mile trail race in Ashington on 21 July 2026 with an entry limit of 125, affiliated and unaffiliated pricing, prizes and finisher gifts.

A seven mile trail through Ingram Valley that visits ancient hillforts and offers views of the Cheviot Hills. The course is fully marked and registration and race numbers are handled at Ingram Village Hall; dogs are not permitted.

A social trail run in the Derwent Valley with 5k and 10k route options, followed by coffee and good craic at the Land Of Oak & Iron Cafe on 26 July 2026.

A time based trail festival at Druridge Bay on 31 July to 1 August 2026, featuring 12 and 24 hour running formats on a 4 km loop for solo runners, pairs, or teams, plus an outdoor Hybrid Games area and live music and food vendors.
