Altra 13 Valleys Ultra : Lake District National Park, 25–27 September 2026

Altra 13 Valleys Ultra is a multi-distance trail running event that links the 13 named valleys within the Lake District National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The event offers four measured course options and runs across fell, lake and valley terrain with regular check points and feed stations on the longer routes. The 13 valleys route is also available year-round to walkers and runners.

Run classic Lake District fell country at the Blake Fell Race on 31 January 2026, a testing 9.5 km course with 429 m of climb around The Leaps. Entries are limited to 120 so book early for this spirited winter challenge.

Challenge yourself on a classic Lake District fell race from Ambleside, tackling 14 km with 880 m of ascent and spectacular views. Entry is on the day for £2 and competitors must be 18 or over, with a strict cut off at Loughrigg summit.

Trail races from Grizedale Forest Visitor Centre offering a half marathon that follows the first 13 miles of the marathon and a 26.2 mile course that continues on an eastern loop with mixed forest tracks and lake views.

Take on Clough Head in the Kong Winter Series, a punchy fell race in the Lake District on 7 February 2026. Expect about 7.3 km with 570 m of climb over rugged quarry and mountain terrain for a thrilling winter challenge.
