Altra 13 Valleys Ultra

Altra 13 Valleys Ultra is a multi-distance trail weekend held in the Lake District National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The event links the 13 valleys of the park by route options for walkers and runners. The 13 Valleys route is also available to do year-round.

  • 13 Valleys: highest point 800 m+, total elevation about 7000 m+, cut-off 46.5 hours, 12 feed stations, course not waymarked.
  • 7 Valleys: distance around 110.6 km, highest point 800 m+, total elevation about 3800 m+, cut-off 28 hours, 7 feed stations, course not waymarked.
  • 5 Valleys: distance around 58.1 km, highest point 800 m+, total elevation about 2500 m+, cut-off 19 hours, 3 feed stations, course waymarked.
  • 2 Valleys: distance 21 km, highest point 408 m+, total elevation about 439 m+, cut-off 8 hours, 1 feed station, course waymarked.

The event is registered with the International Trail Running Association and awards up to 6 ITRA points to finishers depending on distance. Five percent of every entry fee is donated to the Lake District Foundation. For 2026, all ultra distances were sold out while the 2 Valleys trail remained available.
