Altra 13 Valleys Ultra

The Altra 13 Valleys Ultra is a multi-distance trail event in the Lake District National Park. The event dates are Friday 25 - Sunday 27 September 2026. It links the 13 valleys that form part of the park’s UNESCO World Heritage designation. The event is run in partnership with the Lake District National Park and donates 5% of each entry fee to the Lake District Foundation. The race is registered with the International Trail Running Association and awards up to 6 ITRA points to finishers, depending on distance. The 13 Valleys route is also available year-round for walkers and runners.

Take on a classic Lake District fell around Latrigg on a flagged 8 km / 5 miles course with 460 m of climb and stunning views. Starts and finishes at Fitz Park Pavilion, Keswick, and pre entry via SiEntries is required.

Take on Orrest Sun Up in Windermere on Sun 21 Dec 2025, a bracing one mile climb to Orrest Head with stunning Lake District views. Entry on the day from The Phoenix Centre is £5 with donations supporting local community charities.

Take on the classic Wansfell fell race in Ambleside on 27 December 2025, a scenic out and back to the rocky summit. Expect steep stone steps, open fell running and a warm finish at Force Cafe, with pre entry and mandatory kit required.

Kick off January with the Brampton Trail Run, a scenic 7 km undulating trail on Brampton's edge with a bespoke finisher medal and free event photos. Expect off road mud so wear trail shoes for a lively 7 km challenge.
