Event overview

The 13 Valleys Ultra takes place in the Lake District National Park from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September 2026. The event uses fully way marked routes with regular check points and feed stations. Routes run over fells, around lakes and through multiple valleys within the national park. Five percent of each entry fee is donated to the Lake District Foundation. The event is registered with the International Trail Running Association (ITRA); finishers earn up to 6 ITRA points, depending on distance. The 13 Valleys and 7 Valleys races are official qualifier races for the Western States Endurance Run.

Join the classic Sale Fell Race at Sale Fell near Wythop Mill, a testing 3.7 mile fell run with 900 ft of ascent and hilltop views. Friendly to juniors and veterans, it mixes competition with scenic countryside.

Run Kendal's 50 km Skyline Ultra, a scenic route linking local summits for panoramic views of the town. Tackle mixed trail, road and fell terrain with friendly aid stations and a festival finish at Kendal Mountain Festival Basecamp.

Run the adidas TERREX Kendal Trail Run, a scenic 10 km around Kendal and Scout Scar that supports Kendal Mountain Rescue Team. Tackle about 250 m of ascent on mixed tarmac, grass and cobbles while soaking up a lively festival vibe.
