Trail Running calendar near Wasdale Head 2026-2027

Bingley Rock up n' Run on 4 June 2026 offers 5 km and 10 km options at 5 Rise Locks, Beck Lane. The route crosses the canal and past participants described a relaxed, friendly finish atmosphere.

Stickle Grind 650 on 5 June 2026 is a 2.4 km vertical race from Lanty Slees Stickle Barn near Ambleside that gains 650 m to the summit of Harrison Stickle, with a manned checkpoint, safety team, and a recycled medal for finishers.

A 63km mountain ultra in the Central Lake District with 4400m ascent and a 15 hour cut off. The technical single track route includes ridge running, four feed stations and electronic tracking; entrants must be at least 19 years old.
