Pretty Muddy 5k at Heaton Park is a 5 km obstacle course across grass, paths and woodland with climbing, crawling and muddy slides. Participants must be 13 or older; facilities include toilets, refreshments and event parking.

On a Plod MCR on 4 July at Steel Foundry CrossFit in Salford Quays is an inclusive backyard ultra on a 3 km loop. Participants may start anytime within a five hour window and run as many laps as they choose with live tracking and awards.

A short fell race at the Lothersdale Show on 4 July 2026, covering 2.4 km with 122 m ascent on a new course that avoids the village road. On-the-day entry is available for £2 plus a small showfield charge.

Looped trail event in Masham on 5 July 2026 offering 3 hour and 6 hour options where runners complete as many laps as they can within the time limit. Trail and road terrain, feed stations, marshals, a bespoke medal and post race treats.

A 10 km (6 miles) fell race around Great Hucklow that crosses the Dark Peak and White Peak, run over varied upland terrain. The event is organised by local volunteers and finishers receive a flapjack at the finish.
