Tactical Obstacle Racing in Cheshire

Born Survivor is an obstacle course event featuring challenges designed by Royal Marines Commandos. The event takes place across rugged terrains in Cheshire and emphasizes teamwork and physical resilience. Participants navigate a course filled with mud and diverse physical barriers that test various movement skills, including crawling, climbing, and carrying.

The event offers two main course distances for participants:

  • 10 km Classic course featuring 30 obstacles.
  • 6 km Rookie course featuring over 20 obstacles.

The course includes a wide variety of specific obstacles such as The Blitz, Heartbreak Hill, Commando Crossing, Drop Zone Alpha, and The Dunker Drill. Other terrain and structure based challenges include Trench Traverse, Fire Pits, Rat Holes, and Killer Carry.

Participants receive several items upon completion, including a finishers dog tag medal, a finishers T-shirt, a battle rag headover, and a finishers photo. An Elite Squadron category is available for those seeking competitive rankings. This wave is chip timed, provides qualifying opportunities for the European Championships, and offers trophies for winners.

The site includes an Event Village which hosts live music, street food, and a bar area. This area also provides various family activities and adventurous tasks for spectators and participants to access during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
