Stately Trails: Constable Burton

The event takes place on 14 May 2026 at Constable Burton Hall in Wensleydale and is organised by DalesRunner. It offers trail options through the estate for runners and walkers, with entries managed through SiEntries.

Available distances include:

  • 5km run
  • 5km walk
  • 10km run

The 5km route is a single lap and the 10km repeats a lap with an altered second circuit for variety. The course runs across pasture fields, farm tracks and woodland and may be muddy or uneven in places. There is a stream crossing with an option to use a bridge. Trail shoes are recommended.

Course wayfinding is provided with orange barrier tape, pin flags and coloured arrow signs, and marshals will staff critical turns and road crossings. A water station is provided on the 10km course at the start of the second lap and water is available to 5km runners at the end of their race. Toilets are located at Race HQ. Parking is provided in a field on the estate and may be muddy.

On-site provisions include a bar serving hot and cold drinks, finishers hot dogs with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options if ordered with entry, and an optional coaster-medal available for £3.50. The event has an entrant limit of 200 and age restrictions of 13 or older for 5km entries and 16 or older for 10km entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
