Offerton 5

The Offerton 5 is a 5 mile multi-terrain race held in Stockport. The course features an undulating landscape that takes participants through several local landmarks and natural areas. The route begins and ends at Woodbank Stadium and travels through the grounds of Woodbank Park and Vernon Park. Runners also follow trails and grass paths alongside the Goyt Valley.

The event utilizes chip timing for all participants. Competition categories include prizes for the top three male and female finishers, as well as the leading male and female teams. Age group awards are also presented for five-year increments starting from age 40.

The field is limited to 325 entrants. While registration primarily takes place in advance, entries may be available on the day if the capacity has not been reached. Participants receive their race numbers and timing chips upon arrival on the day of the event.

The course terrain is varied, consisting of parkland paths, trails, and grass sections. Because it is a multi-terrain run, the surface may change throughout the 5 mile distance. The event is organized by Stockport Harriers and is based at Woodbank Hall. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
