A Lakeland Paws canicross event in Grizedale forest, part of the 2026/2027 fifth series. It features forest routes for runners and their dogs across three Lake District locations and is organised by Green Space Events Ltd.

Trail runs at Wyre Forest on 13 December 2026 include a family one mile plus 5 km and 10 km options, with canicross on the 5 km and 10 km. Finishers receive medals and seasonal refreshments.

Mortimer Forest Trail Race is a trail running event in Mortimer Forest organised by Ludlow Runners and set for 13 December 2026. The organiser's site lists routes, sign up, environmental information, photos, results and contact details.

A pre Christmas trail run on Moel Famau from Bwlch Penbarras that keeps the distance a surprise. The course is between 6 and 12 kilometres, includes hills and varied terrain, and finishes with a mince pie and festive medal.

A winter, unmarked 38 mile mountain circuit around Helvellyn starting and finishing at Askham Community Centre. Limited to experienced entrants, the event requires navigation skills, strict mandatory kit and offers minimal checkpoint suppor..

A 4.9-mile fell race at Penistone Hill Country Park organised by Wharfedale Harriers. The senior event is over 16s only, part of the Woodentops series with chip timing, online pre-entry and on-the-day entry available.

A family run festive four mile fancy dress run in Horwich on 20 December 2026. Chip timing, a Christmas themed trinket and costume prizes are included and the route is fully marshalled on local roads and paths.

A festive canal running event in Bingley with chip timed races from 5k to marathon along a flat towpath. The course is marshalled and signed, has feed stations every three miles and offers a bespoke festive finisher medal.

A night run at St Ives Estate, Bingley offering 5k and 10k circuits plus a virtual option. All entrants are chip timed and receive a bespoke Solstice Strider medal.

A Boxing Day fell race around Blacka Moor and Totley Moor near Totley. The 7.8 km course climbs 270 m, costs £8 and supports S6 foodbank and Edale Mountain Rescue with mandatory FRA best practice kit required.

A Boxing Day fell event at Stiperstones Inn near Minsterley, covering 4.8 km with 244 m climb. Partially marked course with limited experience required; online entries for recorded times and proceeds go to Severn Hospice.

Whinberry Naze is a festive fell race in Rawtenstall on Sat 26 Dec 2026 covering 6.4 km with 229 m of ascent. Entry on the day costs £6 and there are prizes for fancy dress.

A downhill fell race of 4 km from Moel Famau summit to Cilcain with about 350 m descent. The route is partially marked, for competitors over 16, and is insured by the WFRA; donations are collected at the White Horse in Cilcain.

A blindfolded navigation challenge in Skipton where participants are dropped at unknown locations and must return on foot; options cover 6, 10 and 15 miles and live GPS tracking is available as an optional safety feature.
