Trail Running calendar near Rufford 2026-2027

This three-hour mountain marathon score event unfolds in the Peak District's Derbyshire Dales. Run solo or with a partner in a timed navigation challenge. A pre-printed map, hot drinks, and post-race flapjack are provided.

A winter trail event in Otley offering 12, 19 and 32 mile routes with checkpoints, mandatory kit, trackers for ultras and a finish at The Bridge United Reform Church.

A winter walk or run on Saturday 12th December 2026 around the moors of Hebden Bridge, covering a 21 mile circular route from Mytholmroyd Community Centre. A Santa hat and a small present are required and Open Tracking is used for safety.

A winter walking and running event near Holmfirth with three loop options of 11.6, 7.2 and 4.2 miles, checkpoints, refreshments and specified safety kit requirements.

A 24 hour trail challenge from Llanbenwch Caravan Park in the Vale of Clwyd with fully marked out and back routes. Options include a five-trig 115 km route or a 70 km shorter option, for solo runners or three person teams.

Trail runs and duathlons at Sherwood Pines near Mansfield, set in 3,300 acres of woodland. Distances include a Family 1 Mile, 5km and 10km; 5km and 10km allow one well-controlled dog per runner.

BigXmas Trail Festival on 13 December 2026 offers three trail distances at Sale Water Park in Greater Manchester. Courses are marked and marshalled with aid stations on the half and marathon, chip timing, and a finishers medal or tree plant..

A pre Christmas trail run on Moel Famau from Bwlch Penbarras that keeps the distance a surprise. The course is between 6 and 12 kilometres, includes hills and varied terrain, and finishes with a mince pie and festive medal.

A winter, unmarked 38 mile mountain circuit around Helvellyn starting and finishing at Askham Community Centre. Limited to experienced entrants, the event requires navigation skills, strict mandatory kit and offers minimal checkpoint suppor..

A 4.9 mile, 700 ft fell race at Penistone Hill on 20 December 2026, part of the Woodentops series and using chip timing. Over 16s only; full kit may be required. Santa hats, free tea and coffee, and prizes are provided.

A family run festive four mile fancy dress run in Horwich on 20 December 2026. Chip timing, a Christmas themed trinket and costume prizes are included and the route is fully marshalled on local roads and paths.

A festive canal running event in Bingley with chip timed races from 5k to marathon along a flat towpath. The course is marshalled and signed, has feed stations every three miles and offers a bespoke festive finisher medal.

An informal pre Christmas meet up at Conwy Falls offering a leisurely walk or run of up to two hours, followed by a debrief and refreshments at Conwy Falls Cafe. Member and paid entry options are available.

A night run at St Ives Estate, Bingley on 21 December 2026 offering 5 km and 10 km routes with chip timing and a bespoke medal for all participants. A virtual option is available with medal posted in advance.
