Trail Running calendar near Ripon 2026-2027

Tackle the Otley Chevin fell race on Wed 3 Jun 2026, a classic 3 mile challenge with 210 m of climb across rugged West Yorkshire terrain. Fast, friendly and fiercely competitive, this long running tradition welcomes runners aged 16 plus.

Experience a flat trail run through the Fox Rush Farm Community Woodland with 3k and 5k options. Enjoy chip timed races on established paths organized by New Marske Harriers and receive a burger and medal at the finish.

A series entry for three 5.5 km races through Happy Valley, Bramhall on 3 June, 1 July and 5 August 2026. Entries are limited to 250 per race, proceeds support Stockport Foodbank and UK Athletics members receive a discount.

Bingley Rock up n' Run on 4 June 2026 offers 5 km and 10 km options at 5 Rise Locks, Beck Lane. The route crosses the canal and past participants described a relaxed, friendly finish atmosphere.

A five mile hilly fell race around Kettlewell with grassy tracks, climbs and fast descents. Entry is limited to 100 and fees are £6 for EA affiliated runners and £8 for non affiliated runners.

Challenge the South West Pennines at the Leo Pollard Memorial Race in Rivington, an 8.5 km fell course with 335 m of climb, held around Rivington Hall Barn. Entry on the day; proceeds support Bolton Mountain Rescue.

Stickle Grind 650 on 5 June 2026 is a 2.4 km vertical race from Lanty Slees Stickle Barn near Ambleside that gains 650 m to the summit of Harrison Stickle, with a manned checkpoint, safety team, and a recycled medal for finishers.

Samaritans Way Ultra at Guisborough Rugby Club on 6 June 2026 offers trail races of 40 km and 60 km plus a 60 km relay. The event is held in partnership with Teesside Samaritans and donates profits to the local branch.

A 24 hour, 50 miles linear route from Marsden to Ilkley across the South Pennines, visiting six Stanza Stones inscribed with poems by Simon Armitage. The event features live tracking, three indoor checkpoints and a finishers meal.

An inflatable 5 km obstacle course in Lincoln on Saturday 6 June 2026, featuring multiple inflatable obstacles; recent bookings show active interest and participants described the course as well set out.

Experience a classic Yorkshire mountain race featuring 500 meters of climbing over a 12.2 km course. This event takes runners to the summit of Pen y Ghent and back through the scenic landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales.

A 13.2 mile, fully flagged trail race on 6 June 2026 around Wharfedale Rugby Club in Threshfield near Skipton with over 2,000 feet of ascent, SPORTident timing and prizes totaling over £800.

A lakeside trail event in Coniston on 6 June 2026 with 10 km and 16 km routes, marked trails, water stations, live music and a race village with local food and traders.

A 50 mile ultra across the South Pennines linking Marsden and Ilkley, visiting six carved Stanza Stones and Haworth village. The route crosses moorland and valleys and offers live tracking, indoor checkpoints and camping.

A backyard-style ultramarathon in Dalby Forest made of ten 5.5 km laps (55 km total) with hourly starts. Entry includes forest access and two nights' camping; the route is signed and marshalled on the day.
