A 24 hour loop endurance event in Haldon Forest where runners complete one lap each hour. Multiple distances are offered and organisers provide onsite facilities, participant medals and an overall wooden trophy.

Choose a scenic 10k or shorter 5k through the Chiltern Hills around Frieth, combining woodland paths and country roads. Expect rolling climbs and panoramic views for a rewarding, hilly challenge for road and trail runners.

The FOOBS Trail and Fun Runs return in October. Choose from a chip timed 10K, 6K, or a family friendly 2K fun run through the countryside near Old Basing. The event supports local schools through community fundraising.

MacTuffX Swindon features a series of repetition based running formats including solo and team categories. Participants choose between multiple 400m or 800m loops in this structured athletic event for adults.

Trail runs around the Isle of Purbeck from Burnbake Forest near Corfe Castle, featuring 24 km, 12 km and 6 km routes on technical coastal and ridge terrain with one outpost on the half marathon.

A 100 mile trail race from Goring and Streatley using Thames Path and Ridgeway in four 25 mile out and back legs. The course has 16 aid stations, a 28 hour cut off and mandatory qualifying entry standards.

Roughly 12K trail run on bridle paths and the Imber Range near the Westbury White Horse on 18 October 2026. Limited to 200 places so book early for a bespoke finisher medal and category prizes.

A multi terrain trail running event near Honiton on 18 October 2026 with 10 km, 5 km and 3 km routes across muddy, hilly farmland. Race HQ is Stockland Village Hall with refreshments, limited parking and facilities.

Keynsham Dandy is an off road 12.5 mile race in October organised by Town and Country Harriers with race HQ at The New Inn in Keynsham. The route includes the revived Compton Dando section which crosses a stream.

A 47 mile point to point ultra along the Thames Path from Iffley to Henley on Thames, with mixed trail and road terrain, five aid stations, mandatory kit requirements and real time GPS tracking. The event has an 11.5 hour cut off.

IOW Backyard Ultra is planned for 24 October 2026 at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight. Organised by Wild Isle Events, it is presented as the island's first official Backyard Ultra and shows a free registration of interest option.

Wight Lines is a mixed terrain coastal run at Milford on Sea with views of the Isle of Wight. Runners choose distances from 5K to ultra marathon and complete 5.3 km laps, with on course aid and a finishers medal for one lap or more.

A 20 km fell race in the Mendip Hills on 25 October 2026, based at the Charterhouse Centre near Blagdon, Bristol. The trail course has about 420 m of climb and offers both pre entry and entry on the day.

Haldon Halloween Twilight Run is held 30 October 2026 at Haldon Forest Park near Exeter, offering 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km options. The event uses app based timing, includes free race photography and awards for top finishers.

An evening lap-based trail event in Alice Holt Forest offering 5 km, 10 km and 15 km options, one outpost per lap, a reusable cup policy and basic on-site services including free parking and event timing.

November 2026

Run on the Blue Flag sands of West Wittering beach at low tide, with panoramic coastal views. Choose from three distances on this firm, scenic course with water stations.

A roughly 35.9-mile off-road ultra from Maiden Newton across West Dorset hillforts, with about 1,300 m ascent, six aid stations serving water and cake, GPX navigation and on-route timing points.

A ten mile off road trail run in Stonehouse on 1st November 2026 featuring an uphill opening on Horsemarling Lane, muddy undulating trails, a finisher medal, and a 2 hours 30 minutes cutoff; canicross runners are welcome.

This popular trail run starts at Goodwood Racecourse and explores the scenic paths of the South Downs National Park. Runners can enjoy varied terrain and beautiful views before finishing back at the iconic venue.

Night trail running at Stonor Park with three route distances and one outpost on the middle and long routes. Participants must use a headtorch, bring a reusable cup, and note that headphones are not permitted.
