Hibernal Hills 50 Mile

The Hibernal Hills 50 Mile is a single-loop trail race held in the South Downs area, with the course starting and finishing at Ditcham Park School in Petersfield. The route measures 53 miles and is fully marked for navigation, with regular signage and way marking through the South Downs National Park.

The course is predominantly trail with a small proportion on road, and features approximately 6400 ft of ascent and descent. There are six aid stations positioned along the route. The event is a UTMB Index race and is worth 3 ITRA points. A permit for the race is granted through the ARC under permit number ARC/26/0153.

Runners must be at least 20 years old and a qualifier is required. The qualifying requirement is completion of a minimum marathon within that race's cutoff time in the last four years; a trail marathon is preferred but not compulsory. Qualifiers must be from official races with results available online. Entrants may register before providing a qualifying result but must update their qualification before race day. Entries close one week before the race or when entry limits are reached.

Included for entrants are a bespoke finisher medal, way marked route, six well stocked aid stations, live GPS tracking and chip timing, prizes for veteran categories, event insurance, and first aid and medical cover. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
