Trail Running calendar near Milnrow 2026-2027

A five-round trail series at Wirral Country Park held on the third Tuesday each month from April to August, featuring an approx 8K course. Entry is available per race or as a series and trophies are awarded for overall series results.

An approximate 5 mile undulating trail near Treeton Cricket & Football Pavilion organised by Rotherham Running Club on 18 August 2026, marshalled and with post-run refreshments. Entries open 1 June to 16 August; minimum age 16.

Challenge yourself on the Pilgrims Cross Fell Race across the West Pennine Moors, a scenic but tough 10.7 km with 390 m of climb. Entry is on the day only with a small fee, and the race features in the Rossendale midweek series.

A 19.5 km fell race around Hartsop with 1,370 m of ascent. The route visits Rest Dodd, the col beneath High Raise, Kidsty Howes, Nan Bield Pass and Gray Crag and includes a 70 minute cut off for CP2.

Summer Extravaganza offers five distances on a flat canal towpath near Kirkstall, Leeds. The event includes regular feed stations, marshals, a bespoke finisher medal and food options at the finish.

Timed laps around a flat 5.3 km out and back course on the River Mersey in Chorlton Water Park. This final race in a 2026 Summer Series supports The Animal Sanctuary Wilmslow and includes a bespoke finisher's medal.

A multi terrain fell race at Gargrave Show with river crossings, woodland, open moor and a steep ascent of Sharphaw. Events run for juniors through seniors; race entry is free while show admission is charged.

A chip-timed, fully signposted circular fell race of 30 km on footpaths, bridleways and roads around Belper on 23 August 2026. The route includes Roman roads, ancient woodland and sections of the Midshires Way.

Multi distance trail event in Preston on 23 August 2026, with 10k, half, marathon and ultra options on mainly hard surfaced park paths. Aid stations, bespoke medals and a six hour time limit are included.

A five mile trail race at Pennington Flash on 23 August 2026, organised by Leigh Harriers at Leigh Sports Village. The event is licenced by TRA and held under UK Athletics rules, with separate affiliated and unaffiliated entry prices.

A single-lap, multi-terrain trail race of about 7 miles through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park in Leeds, organised by Valley Striders AC with on-site facilities, age-group prizes and fundraising for St Gemma’s Hospice.

Take on the Trunce 8, a classic Peak District fell race starting and finishing at Oxspring Playing Field. The 6.2 km route climbs 190 m and entry is on the day for £3, with a junior 3 km race for over 10s at £1.

Tackle Roseberry Topping on Wed 26 Aug 2026 in this classic short fell race hosted from Newton under Roseberry. Expect a punchy 2.3 km course with big climb and great views, junior entries welcome and on the day entry available.
