Trail Running calendar near Great Harwood 2026-2027

A Hawes-based trail ultra on limestone rights of way offering a 70 km loop with an optional +30 km extension to make 100 km, GPX and on-course refreshments provided, indoor HQ facilities, eco medals and age-category trophies.

A 50 km autumn mountain trail race based in Hawes, Yorkshire Dales, crossing Pen-Y-Ghent and returning to the start. The course has 1280 metres of ascent, GPX and course notes are supplied, and on-course refreshments are provided.

A 63 miles coastal trail race along the Cleveland Way from Guisborough to Filey, with 18 hours to complete, mandatory kit checks, supplied trackers and manned checkpoints offering water and food at selected points.

A Backyard Ultra at West Shields Farm where runners complete a 4.1 mile loop on the hour until one remains. The route mixes farmland, single track and woodland with food stations, tracking and on-site medical cover.

Trail running in the Lake District from Grasmere with routes from 9 km to a 52 km ultra, visiting Tarn and the Fairfield Horseshoe on technical fell terrain. Multiple outposts, mandatory kit and GPX routes are provided.

Classic fell race in Kettlewell, Yorkshire Dales: 4 mile route with 475 m climb over rugged upland terrain. Open to 16+ with pre entry or entry on the day, teams welcome and free parking for entrants.

Take on the scenic Bollington 3 Peaks fell race in the Peak District on Sat 19 Sep 2026, a 9 km course with 370 m climb. Pre entry only, entry includes food and a pint from Bolly Brewery.

Teams of four combine two road laps with two fell legs around Uppermill and Saddleworth Moor, covering roughly 3 miles and 2.5 miles per leg. Entries open 28 January 2026 and the entry fee is £20 per team.

A 15.6 km forest and fell route near Keswick with 870 m ascent, visiting five hill checkpoints and running to raise funds for the restoration of Thornthwaite Church. Limited parking and an X5 bus stop are nearby.

A hybrid fitness event at Cannock Chase Forest on 19 September 2026 offering solo entries and 5 km and 10 km ruck runs with pack weight rules, live chip timing, finisher merchandise and standard category prizes.

A trail half marathon at Lakeland Maze Farm Park on Saturday 19th September 2026, finishing through the maze. Chip timing, aid stations, on-site parking and a cafe. Entry requires participants to be 18 or older and costs £35.

Heights Ultra Trail offers six runs, including 50 mile, 50 km and 27 km options through the Colne and Holme valleys in Kirklees. Most routes are about 90% off road and pass trails and open moorland.
