The Tissington Trail Half Marathon Weekend is a two-day event on the Tissington Trail in Derbyshire. The race runs along a former railway line from Parsley Hay to Ashbourne, covering 13 miles on a traffic-free trail. The course is multi-terrain with a slight downhill gradient. The event is organised by Nice Work and takes place on both Saturday and Sunday, with entrants able to choose one or both race days. Entries are open to people aged 17 and over on the race date.

Practical information

Advance entries for each half marathon are listed at £38. An on-the-day entry fee of £45 may be available subject to availability. The event includes a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. Coaches run from Race HQ to the start at Parsley Hay. Race HQ is at Ashbourne Leisure Centre; the race start is at The Tissington Trail, Parsley Hay, Ashbourne, SK17 ODG. There is car parking in Ashbourne town centre and a small car park at the leisure centre; standard parking charges apply. Bus services are available from Derby to Ashbourne Leisure Centre. A night score event at The Railway Inn in Marple on Tuesday 27th January. Choose a 40, 60 or 75 minute course, use MapRun or a paper backup, and note late entries are not guaranteed a map.

Take on the Dovedale Big Daddy on 1 February 2026, an AL fell race in the Peak District covering 20.4 km with 1370 m ascent and nine steep climbs through the Manifold and Dovedale valleys. Entries close 29 January and are limited to 250.

A fell race on 1 February 2026 covering about 14.5 miles across Bradgate, Broombriggs and Beacon Hill Country Parks with rough underfoot and over 1,200 feet of ascent. Entry is limited to 350 runners and pre entry is required.

An off-road navigational race on Cannock Chase on 1 February 2026, about 26.5 km with 540 m ascent, visiting five checkpoints in order; pre-entry only with limited places and SI timing in use.
