The Ranger Ultras Yorkshire Pen-Y-Ghent 50k is an ultra-distance event held in North Yorkshire. The course covers a total distance of 50 km with an overall ascent of 1280 metres. The route starts and finishes at the Hawes Market House, leading participants over classic limestone trails and established paths.

The course follows historical routes, including the Cam Road to Horton-In-Ribblesdale. A significant milestone of the route is the summit of Pen-y-Ghent, before runners return via the Cam Road to the finish. The event is open to participants aged 20 or older, including both first-time ultra-runners and experienced athletes.

The event includes multiple support features such as Ranger Ultras Team assistance at various locations. On-course aid stations provide water, snacks, and hot soup at Kidhow Gate and Horton-In-Ribblesdale. Participants receive navigation notes and a GPX file following registration.

A mandatory kit list is required for all competitors, including waterproof clothing, a head torch with spare batteries, a navigation compass, a whistle, and an emergency survival bag. Upon completion, runners receive a finisher's medal and a meal consisting of pasta or pizza with hot drinks at the race headquarters. Entries are limited to 50 participants. Experience an 11 km trail run through the scenic Swaledale landscape featuring technical terrain and steep climbs. Participants enjoy a marked route starting in Reeth with fully stocked aid stations and post race treats.
