Bronte Half Marathon and 10k

The Bronte Half Marathon and a 10k take place in Bronte Country between Haworth and Hebden Bridge on 20 September 2026. The event is organised by Sue Ryder and has its race headquarters at Penistone Hill Country Park, Haworth.

The course is a single lap trail with a hilly profile. The event has an entry limit of 200 and listed availability at the time of publication. The course records are listed as 1:39:20 for men and 2:33:07 for women. The race is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Entry fees are published by the organiser: half marathon adult £17, half marathon under 18 £15; 10k adult £17, 10k under 18 £15. If the event does not sell out, on the day entry may be available for an additional £5. Entry implies agreement with the organiser's terms and privacy preferences.

Facilities at the event include water and toilets. There are no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers, and no baggage storage. All finishers receive a pie and peas meal and a race memento provided by the event sponsor. Digital route maps are provided by the organiser. Trail runs nearby

A short fell race near Cracoe on Sunday 19 July 2026 covering 2.60 miles with about 900 feet of climb. The route crosses fields, includes a trailer and a wall to climb, rough ground and a final steep ascent.

Tackle the rugged Bowland slopes at the Hapton Fell Race, a challenging 5 miles with about 400 m of climb near Burnley. Day of entry makes it ideal for last minute plans and friendly club rivalry.

Evening pop up races at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve on 23 July 2026 feature 5k and 10k routes, on site parking, food and a finisher jumble medal. Payment is accepted on the day or online.

A new trail 10 km around Clowbridge Reservoir and the Pennine Bridleway with 175 m elevation over 10 km. Marked and marshalled course, spot prizes afterwards, and funds raised for local causes.
