Trail Running calendar near Constable Burton 2026-2027

A 50 miles, 5,500 ft circuit through Wensleydale and Swaledale with an ascent of Great Shunner Fell. Walkers and runners complete the route within 22 hours; electronic trackers are used and participants must be 18 or older.

An inflatable obstacle run in Knutsford, Cheshire on 18 July 2026 offering 2.5k laps with 15 to 90 obstacles, music zones, on-course water, finishers medals and family and group ticket options.

A mixed-team fell relay in Eskdale, Lake District, hosted by Black Combe Runners. Four paired legs cover about 38 km on unmarked mountain terrain; teams of eight must navigate without GPS and proceeds support St Bega's Primary School.

A timed loop event at Northallerton Rugby Club where participants run a one kilometre loop every thirty minutes for up to 24 hours. The event raises funds for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and is for adults aged 18 and over.

A short fell race near Cracoe on Sunday 19 July 2026 covering 2.60 miles with about 900 feet of climb. The route crosses fields, includes a trailer and a wall to climb, rough ground and a final steep ascent.

A clockwise 12.3 miles horseshoe around Kentmere Valley with about 3300 ft of ascent, ridge running over Ill Bell High Street and Kentmere Pike. The race follows FRA rules with required kit and strict checkpoint cutoffs.

A trail half marathon on the Pennine Way around Bowes, featuring dirt tracks, stream crossings, boggy sections and an exposed moorland route. Mandatory waterproofs and basic navigation kit are required and water top ups are provided on rout..

A navigational run from Chinley Community Centre to six red phone boxes that house lifesaving defibrillators. The 10+ km route uses a paper map and stamps and raises funds for the defibs upkeep and replacement.

Tackle the rugged Bowland slopes at the Hapton Fell Race, a challenging 5 miles with about 400 m of climb near Burnley. Day of entry makes it ideal for last minute plans and friendly club rivalry.

Experience a two lap trail race through 400 acres of historic parkland at Alderley Park. This five mile course features scenic views of an arboretum and lakes and includes a technical finisher t-shirt for all participants.

A flat 5 mile, two-lap trail race in Ashington on 21 July 2026 with prizes, a finisher gift and a small donation to Friends of the Woods; entry is limited and parking is a short walk from the race HQ.

A mid-summer fell race in Ravenscar covering about 10 km with 250 m of climb, held at the Ravenscar tea rooms. Entry is on the day with modest fees, team competition and FRA permit insurance in place.

An evening trail event at Aske Hall near Richmond featuring 5km, 10km and a 5km walk across pasture, farm tracks and woodland. The single lap course is marked and may be muddy; basic facilities and a water station are provided.

Evening pop up races at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve on 23 July 2026 feature 5k and 10k routes, on site parking, food and a finisher jumble medal. Payment is accepted on the day or online.
