Trail Running calendar near Butteryhaugh 2026-2027

A senior fell race on 9 May 2026 at Lupton Fields, Sedbergh School, run under Fell Runners Association rules with a fully flagged route and marshals. Entry is for adults aged 18 and over and the entry fee is £2.

Old County Tops is a Lake District fell race at New Dungeon Ghyll in Great Langdale on 16 May 2026. Expect a long, demanding 59 km mountain course with 3050 m of climb, raced in pairs for a thrilling test of endurance and navigation.

A 50 mile relay for teams of four from Sedgwick near Kendal to Lea Town following the Lancaster Canal. The signed course has seven checkpoints, medical support, chip timing, live tracking, and a 13 hour combined cut off.

Derwent Reservoir Trail Runs on 17 May 2026 at Derwent Waterside Park near Consett offers 5km and 10km trail races with live chip timing, Canicross allowance, on-site parking and finishers' medals and merchandise.

A trail race in Balbirnie Park, Markinch on 17 May 2026, covering between 4 and 4.5 miles on paths and woodland trails. All finishers receive a medal and prizes are awarded across overall and age categories.

A MapRun navigation event at Elterwater Hostel on 17 May 2026 in the Lake District. Category O with pre entry and on the day fees; minimum age 14 and 14 to 17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.
