On June 28, 2026 at Brecksville Reservation, Buckeye Trail features trail races of 25k and 50k as part of the Ohio Endurance Series. The 50k began in 1994 and is recognized as Ohio's oldest trail 50k.

July 2026

A trail 5K and one mile run at Wooster Memorial Park on July 4, 2026, with part of entries supporting The Friends Wooster Memorial Park. Finishers receive a custom hat and the 5K awards top three male and female finishers.

August 2026

A Last Runner Standing backyard ultra on a family farm in Glenmont, Ohio on August 1, 2026, with trails under old growth timber and through prairie. Free camping and parking are available near the start and finish area.

A 5K Run and Walk on a private airfield runway in Malvern, Ohio. The course uses hard packed grass, is managed by Run to You Racing, and has registration April 1 to June 15 with a $25 fee.

A backyard ultra on a 4.167 mile loop at Alum Creek State Park near Lewis Center Ohio. Runners must complete each loop within one hour and continue hourly loops until only one runner completes an additional loop.

Trail races of 5 and 10 miles take place on 8 August 2026 at Oak Hill Trail Head in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Registration opens in November 2025 and fees vary by distance.

Trail races in Lewis Center, Ohio on a 4.1 mile loop beside Alum Creek Reservoir, with 7K, 13K, 20K and 26K options and marked lap choices for 1 to 4 laps.

A cross country 5K and a 0.5 mile kids fun run at South Range High School in Canfield Ohio with finisher medals, event shirts, and awards for top overall and age group finishers.

A 5K cross country race at Penitentiary Glen Reservation in Willoughby on August 18, 2026. The course mixes grass fields and crushed limestone trails, with separate races for male and female competitors and open entry for kids and adults.

A 5k (3.1 miles) mud run in Oak Harbor with 20+ obstacles offering "challenge" and "Xtreme" lines, participant medals and T-shirts, and a 10% proceeds donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
