Buckeye Trail
Buckeye Trail takes place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Brecksville Reservation. The event is the 32nd annual running and is part of the Ohio Endurance Series, which features fully supported trail races in Ohio parks.
Distances offered:
- 25k point to point from Pine Lane to Oak Grove, on the same trails as the 50k
- 50k trail race that began in 1994 as an out and back route
The first running had thirteen finishers. Over time the course routing has changed as park systems evolved, but the event remains an established annual trail race and is recognized as the oldest trail 50k in the state of Ohio.
Course maps and participant guides are provided for both distances; 2026 updates are noted as forthcoming. Swag for the event includes a triblend tee and a finisher medal.
Awards are given to the Top 3 overall male and female finishers and to the Top 3 in five-year age groups from 19 & Under through 70 & Over. Donations collected at the event benefit the Crooked River Chapter of the Buckeye Trail Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
