Buckeye Trail takes place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, using trails in the Brecksville Reservation and nearby trailheads. The event offers two trail race distances:

Buckeye Trail 50k - point to point at Oak Grove Picnic Area
Buckeye Trail 25k - point to point from Pine Lane to Oak Grove

The 25k follows many of the same trails as the 50k in a point to point format. The 50k began in 1994 as an informal birthday run and originally used an out-and-back course between Oak Grove and Pine Lane. Over time routes have changed while maintaining the core trail layout. The event is recognized as the oldest trail 50k in the state of Ohio.

Location details list Oak Grove Picnic Area in the Brecksville Reservation and Pine Lane Trailhead (1281 Pine Lane, Peninsula, OH) as the 25k dropoff. A municipal lot in Brecksville is used for bus start/parking. GPS coordinates for Oak Grove are provided by the organizer.

Event items and logistics include a triblend tee and finisher medal, awards for top finishers, and age-group prizes. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to top three male and female runners in 5-year age groups from 19 & Under through 70 & Over.
