Trail Running calendar near Blue Hill 2026-2027

An overnight team relay on July 24 and 25, 2026 covering about 102.7 miles from the Ellsworth area to Eastport. Teams of four to eight run legs from just under four miles to just over ten miles across trails and coastal roads.

August 2026

A multi-distance trail event on Blue Hill Mountain near the coast, with 5k, 10k, 25k and 50k courses that include summit loops. Proceeds support Blue Hill Heritage Trust and Wabanaki Alliance.

A charity event at Medomak Valley High School with an untimed 1 mile walk, a 5K trail race, and a virtual 5K, with proceeds benefiting Boston Children’s Hospital.

September 2026

Trail races in Camden Hills State Park near Penobscot Bay offering 10K, 20K and 50K courses across singletrack and gravel. The festival includes a Wabanaki land acknowledgement and a donation option supporting local Wabanaki food sovereignt..

TUCARD26 is an unconventional waypoint-based trail race in Orono, Maine with no fixed course between defined start and finish points. Registration supports the Orono Land Trust and is free for Wabanaki Tribal Members.

Trail running in Whitneyville, Maine on 27 September 2026 with an 8 mile race and a 2.5 mile run or walk through the Machias River Preserve. Courses feature singletrack and riverside sections plus post race awards and a potluck.

October 2026

Experience a scenic trail run or walk through the Northeast Equine Sanctuary in Maine. Enjoy yoga sessions and a vegan BBQ while supporting animal welfare among beautiful horses and autumn foliage.

A coastal 5K at Hermit Island Campground supporting Marine Mammals of Maine, with timed and untimed in-person runs, a weeklong virtual 5K, a kids 1-mile fun run, raffle, and prizes for top human and canine finishers.
