Bold Coast Bash

Bold Coast Bash - Cutler, ME

Bold Coast Bash is a trail running event held near the Cutler Bold Coast featuring a figure eight single-track course with rocky, rooty, muddy sections, bog bridging and unfenced cliff tops. The 50K Ultra uses three laps of the figure eight; each lap is about 16.7 km (10.4 miles). The fun run is a single loop of the same figure eight.

The course has one aid area at the Start/Finish; there are no aid stations on the course and runners must be self-supporting between laps. Drop bags and small pop-up shelters may be left in the Start/Finish area. All runners must carry mandatory equipment that is checked at the start and before each lap; required items include a windproof or waterproof jacket, warm mid layer, warm head covering, warm gloves, foil blanket, whistle, at least 200 calories of instant energy and a headlamp for the later lap.

Entrants are capped to limit environmental impact and congestion; when capacity is reached a wait list opens automatically. There is no day-of registration and bib pick-up only. Entry fee is $45. No refunds are offered; entries may be deferred to the next year for a 75% rollover if requested by October 31. Live tracking is available through a timing app but requires cell service and will consume device battery. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
