The Bold Coast Bash is a trail running event held in Cutler, Maine. The race takes place on a single-track trail along coastal cliffs and through inland sections with mud, rocks, and bog bridges. The event is noted for its challenging and slippery terrain, which includes roots, unstable bog bridges, and unfenced cliff tops.

Registration and Details
Registration opens on August 1, 2026. Entry is $45. There is no day-of registration, only bib pick-up. Participation is capped in each race to protect the local ecosystem and avoid trail congestion. Once full, a waitlist will open.

Course and Safety
The course has one aid station located at the start/finish area. Runners must be self-sufficient on the trail. A mandatory equipment list is enforced for all runners, checked at the start of each lap. Required items include a windproof/waterproof jacket, warm layers, a head covering, gloves, a foil blanket, a whistle, and instant energy food. A headlamp is required for the 50K's third lap.
Live race tracking is available via a timing app for spectators, though cell service in the area can be spotty.
Logistics
Limited overnight parking for RVs or campers is available at a designated lot approximately 600 meters from the trailhead. A portable toilet will be on site. Participants are directed to local motels or accommodations in nearby towns for lodging. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
