Trail Running calendar near Caersws 2026-2027

A 4.4 km fell race from the Ragleth Inn in Little Stretton with 390 m of ascent, a clockwise course with three control points, on-the-day or pre-entry and junior up and down Callow Hill races; some proceeds go to charity.

A hill and trail endurance event on Moel Famau with 12 and 24 hour options, run on a 5.8 km loop with about 400 m ascent per lap. Camping, feed stations, electronic timing and GPS tracking support solo runners, walkers and teams.

SkyRun Eryri in Rhyd-Ddu, Eryri/Snowdonia stages four mountain races from 16 km to 55 km on 15 August 2026, with large elevation gains, aid stations and a mix of ridgelines, scrambling and technical trails.

A multi-distance community running event in Tywyn on 15 August 2026, organised by the Rotary Club of Tywyn. Distances range from a toddlers run to a 14 mile challenge and entries close 10 August 2026.

Mynydd Maen Traverse is a running event near Pontypool featuring a 9.8 km route with 291 m of climb. It includes separate junior races and accepts team entries of three.

A 7.5 km fell race at Cwrt-y-Cadno Show fields with 264 m of climb. Entry to the show covers the £5 fee; the course is partially marked and open to those over 16.

A five-round trail series at Wirral Country Park held on the third Tuesday each month from April to August, featuring an approx 8K course. Entry is available per race or as a series and trophies are awarded for overall series results.

A timed, flexible run along a 3.28 mile out and back route beside the Stroud Waterways canal. Runners choose distances from 5 km up to ultra and may complete as many laps as they wish within a seven hour limit.

Phoenix Afterglow is the third event in Phoenix Running's 2026 Summer Series, featuring timed laps on a 5.3 km out and back course along the River Mersey. Participants have a seven hour limit and receive a finishers' medal.

A 7 hour time challenge at Dare Valley Country Park where runners pick their distance from a 3km minimum. The event features a cupcake magnet medal, a baking competition, aid tables with vegan options, and free parking.

An 8.8 km (5.5 mile) fell run around Pen Y Gwely reservoir near Rhydycroesau, featuring tracks, paths and fields with 225 m of climb. The course is partially marked, entry is £7 on the day and the minimum age is over 15.

A children's fun run organised by Afan Valley Swimming Club on 23 August, covering approximately 1 mile of mixed grass and tarmac with uphill and downhill sections. Entry includes a finishers' medal and a bag of sweets.

A 10 mile trail race through Radnor forest in Mid Wales on 23 August 2026, held in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit in Hereford. The route reaches Black Mixen at 2130 ft and includes forestry roads, moorland and tree covered single track.

Point-to-point ultras along the Cambrian Way into Cardiff, offered as 44- and 33-mile options with self-navigation, live tracking, indoor aid stations, and on-route support.

A non stop 130 mile canal towpath race from Liverpool to Leeds run under UK Athletics rules. Open to runners aged 20 and over, the event has a 40 hour limit and a limited number of unsupported entries with regular feed points.

Ras Beca is an 8 km race with 320 m of climb near Crosswell in North Pembs. Entry is £5 pre entry or £7 on the day and the event is insured by WFRA. Junior races cover multiple youth age categories.

A chip timed, multi terrain flat 10 km race around Pershore that starts at Pershore Leisure Centre and finishes in Abbey Park. Entry is online only, limited to 325 places and includes a medal, water and a plum for finishers.

Ras y Cerrig Glas is an 11.3 km fell race with 350 m of climb held from a small car park between Mynachlog-ddu and Rosebush. The partially marked route requires navigational skills and experience; entry fees include refreshments.
