Trail Running Calendar South West (England) 2026-2027

An off-road half marathon and 10 km trail event near Ludgershall through bridle and woodland tracks, with chip timing, stocked aid stations, full medical support, finishers' medals and prizes for the top three men and women.

A 5k obstacle event at Stithians Showground where participants climb, crawl and slide over gravel and grass terrain. Participants must be 13 or older and there is a minimum fundraising target of £50.

Multiple trail race distances in the Stroud area using towpaths, disused railway tracks and Cotswold hills, with a route that ascends to Selsley Common for wide valley views. Water, marshals and first aid are provided on course.

Trail running from Sudeley Castle through the northern Cotswolds with routes from 7 km to 50 km, mixed terrain and staffed outposts. Options include Ultra, Marathon, Half Marathon and shorter distances.

Trail races at Roadford Lake on 16 May 2027 featuring 10.5K and 5K laps, a half marathon of two laps, canicross options and 1K/2K kids races. Entries include chip timing, a marked course, feed station and finishers medals.

A 10k trail run at Symonds Yat with riverside views and a notable final one kilometre climb. The mostly off road course includes long gravel firetracks and on site coffee and hot food.

Run Britannia is a fully supported, multiday 1,000-mile run from Land’s End to John o’ Groats over 37 days. The largely off-road route crosses England, Wales and Scotland and includes the West Highland Way and Great Glen Way.

The Pretty Muddy 5 km obstacle course at Baiter Park, Poole on 29 May 2027 runs across grass and tarmac with staggered wave starts every 15 minutes. Participants must be 13 or older and there is a minimum fundraising target.

A looped trail event at Tehidy Woods in Cornwall on a four mile circuit, with timed options from 3 to 12 hours. Participants aim to complete the most laps in their chosen time category.

A coastal marathon and an ultra in Cornwall that follow the coastpath from Pendeen with the ultra starting at Land's End. Mixed terrain, large climbs and significant ascent make weather and low light important considerations.

A point to point running race from Lelant to Marazion in Cornwall on 4 December 2027, organised by Bys Vyken Events. Affiliated and non affiliated entries are offered, with published refund and deferral rules and an ARC permit.

A thirteen day end to end ultra across England covering about 503 miles with daily stages around 35 to 54 miles. Entries are limited, entrants receive personalised kit and tracking, and a 4 mph minimum pace is enforced.

A one-day ultra of about 37 to 38 miles from Liskeard to Truro that is Day 12 of the MTC Albion series. The field is limited, mandatory kit and real-time tracking are required, and a minimum 4 mph average speed is enforced.
