MTC Albion 2029 : event overview

The MTC Albion is a thirteen day end to end ultra run across England, held 10 to 22 July 2029. The overall route covers 503 miles, starting at Gretna Green and finishing at Lands End. The event forms part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge series and comprises thirteen individual ultra stages.

Logistics and rules

Entries are limited to 20 competitors. Organisers provide personalised race shirts, a hi vis jacket, and a pair of R1 running shoes for each competitor. Accommodation is arranged for days 1 through 12 on a shared room basis; competitors must book their own accommodation at the start and after the finish. Mandatory kit is specified and must be carried; examples include a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone and basic first aid. The race enforces a minimum average pace of 4.0 mph; competitors below this may be withdrawn. No competitor may continue on course after 22:00. Finishers receive an Albion medal and trophy, a bottle of champagne, and an additional bespoke medal for each day completed.
