Running Events Devon is staging a timed endurance event near Capel Lane, Littleham, Exmouth EX8 2QZ (///miss.race.open). The event uses a scenic out and back route on an old disused train line. Each lap measures 5.3 km on a fully tarmac surface; the course is accurately measured and is classified as road. The organiser operates a TUGG (Turn Up Get Going) system that allows participants to start at any time during the event start window, provided they complete their final lap before the event end time.
The event is run as a seven hour timed competition with a maximum of 50 entrants and a minimum age of 18 years. The course is described as undulating and listed as off-road / paved in the event details. Entrants who complete any number of laps within the permitted time are recorded as finishers and may collect the event medal; alternative bespoke medals are available for those who enter after capacity has been reached.
