An obstacle 5k at Central Forest Park in Stoke On Trent organised by Cancer Research UK, where participants climb, crawl and slide across grass, woodland and tarmac while raising funds for cancer research. Participants must be 13 or older.

Timed laps on a 2.62 mile out and back canal route with flexible distance options from 5 km up to ultra and a seven hour time limit. Both in person and virtual entries receive a physical medal.

Tackle the Hameldon Quarry Race on 28 July 2026 in Hapton, Burnley, a lively 6.5 km trail with about 400 m of climb through Bowland terrain. Day entry only, low fees and team categories make it ideal for a spontaneous challenge.

A multi-terrain five mile race around Alderley Edge, Nether Alderley and Hare Hill, organised by Wilmslow Running Club. The traditional woodland route includes Adders Moss and Daniel Hill, with proceeds donated to charity.

Up the Nab is a fell running event on Wednesday 29 July 2026 at Glossop Rugby Club, Charlesworth, with online and on the day entry options and an FRA permit providing UK Athletics insurance.

A 10 km fell race at Lee Mill Quarry in the South/West Pennines on 29 July 2026. The course climbs 332 m, teams are allowed and entry on the day costs £5; the event is the first in the Rossendale Mid Week series.

A 6.4 km fell race near Llangollen with 289 m of climb and partial course marking. Entry on the day only for £5 and there are no toilet facilities because the café is closed.

A short, steep fell race on 29 July 2026 in Middletown covering 2.8 km with about 440 m of ascent. Pre-entry and on-the-day entry are offered and junior races are included in the summer series.

An evening pop-up running event in Skipton offering 5 km and 10 km races, pay-on-the-day places, a jumble medal and post-race hot food with drink options.

She Strides Women only 50K is a women only ultramarathon in West Yorkshire with a circular marked 50 km route and about 1400 m of ascent. Four vegan friendly checkpoints and a ten hour cutoff at checkpoint 4 support participants.

A trail event around Hartington in the Peak District offering two scenic routes of about 26 miles and 15 miles, with checkpoints, aid stations, mandatory navigation kit and a village event base.
