Trail Running calendar near Sheffield 2026-2027

A new 12 mile trail race at National Trust Clumber Park on 26 September 2026. The course is fully marshalled with water stations, a three hour cut off, finisher medal and refreshments; entries are limited to 500.

A 30.9 miles coastal ultra from Blackpool Tower to Lancaster Castle with a short ferry crossing, waymarked route and three checkpoints. Mandatory kit and pre-registration required; entrants must be 18 or over.

A forest marathon and a shorter route from Memorial Hall in Henley in Arden, Warwickshire, running through early autumn woodland with staffed checkpoints and a hot finish meal. Surplus funds support the Heart of England Forest.

A mid distance fell race at Canolfan Ceiriog Centre in Glyn Ceiriog on 26 September 2026 covering 11.6 km with 425 m of ascent. Entry is £6 on the day and the centre provides refreshments and changing facilities.

A charity relay in Malham on 27 September 2026 with mixed teams formed on the day and an entry fee of £5 per person. The route climbs near the summit of Cawden Hill then returns on a direct descent.

A BM category fell race in Waddington on 27 September 2026 covering 11.3 km with 415 m ascent. The route is marshalled and partially flagged with a checkpoint on Waddington Fell and a cut off at Summit House Farm.

Classic Peak District fell run from Stoney Wood, Wirksworth with an undulating 13.7 km course and 457 m of climb that rewards strong legs and scenic views. Pre entry is required for the Sept 27 2026 race so book early and bring a cup to red..

Trail Half Marathon and 10K through Delamere Forest on marked, technical woodland trails with chip timing, aid stations and a canicross option, plus eco-friendly measures and on-site race HQ at the visitor centre.

A trail event in Blackpool on 27 September 2026 using a 10K loop for 10K, half marathon, marathon and ultra distances, passing Marton Mere, Blackpool Zoo and offering on-course refreshments and bespoke finisher medals.

A five mile trail race in Worsley Woods on 27 September 2026, organised by Swinton Running Club and based at Beesley Green Community Centre. Tickets are available as affiliated or unaffiliated and race numbers are collected on the day.

A charity hike or run on Sunday 27 September 2026 around Charnwood, starting and finishing at Beacon Hill Country Park. The route is about 16 miles and visits Beacon Hill, Bardon Hill and Old John to raise funds for local people in need.

A six hour lap-based trail event at Coombe Abbey Park near Coventry, using a 3.3 mile loop through woodland and meadow. Options include a medal or a tree token, rucking is allowed and dogs are not permitted.

A night trail 10k at Coombe Abbey Park requiring a head or chest torch, with varied off road terrain, Petzl demo kit, on course refreshments in biodegradable cups, and charity and tree planting options.

An uphill only 10 km race from central Ruthin to the Jubilee Tower on Moel Famau, finishing above 550 metres. After the race a short walk leads to Bwlch Penbarras for medals and an optional bus back to Ruthin.

Rowbotham's Round Rotherham is a long distance trail event around South Yorkshire with solo and relay options over 80 km or 50 miles. The undulating route includes about 800 m of climb and is based at the Manvers Waterfront Boat Club.

A 10th anniversary five mile chip timed cross country and Canicross in the Upper Wreake valley, featuring fields, stiles, brooks and hilly countryside. Race HQ is at Hoby & District village hall with parking and facilities.

A Peak District walking event in Buxton on 3 October 2026 with long and short routes through Axe Edge, Goyt Valley and Shining Tor. Organised by High Peak LDWA with checkpoints, refreshments and parking at the school.

A 35 mile circular ultra from Studley Roger that follows the northern Ripon Rowel through trail, woodland and moorland. The route includes four staffed checkpoints, a 10 hour time limit and mandatory kit requirements.

A 15.2 km fell race in the Peak District with 490 m of climb, held at Curbar Primary School on 3 October 2026. Pre-entry is required and proceeds go to Curbar Primary School.

A coastal off road race from Peasholm Park in Scarborough along the historic Cinder Track. Distances from 5K to marathon, water stations about every 3 miles, on the day bib collection and a Grim Bling finisher medal.
