The Booze Run is a fell race in Langthwaite, Arkengarthdale, Yorkshire Dales on 28 December 2025. The course distance is 9 km / 5.6 miles with about 280 m of climb. The event uses a Permit and associated UK Athletics insurance issued via the FRA and is run under FRA rules. The minimum age to enter is 17. Entry is allowed both by pre-entry and on the day; the entry fee is £8.00. Entrant numbers are limited to 100.

Course and on-course services

The route starts and finishes near the Red Lion Inn in Langthwaite and follows field paths beside Arkle Beck, a steady climb up Scar Lane onto open moor, sections of trod and stang road, a descent into the hamlet of Booze, then grassy and stony paths via Slei Gill and back to Langthwaite. One aid station is located just outside Booze, stocked with festive food and a drink. Finish refreshments include water and nibbles. GPX and PDF route files are available for download.

Logistics, kit and facilities

Parking is in a nearby field past St Mary’s Church; the field may be muddy. Public toilets in Langthwaite require 20p. The race enforces the FRA mandatory kit list: taped-seam waterproofs (jacket and trousers), hat, gloves, emergency blanket or bivvy bag, whistle and emergency food. A map and compass are suggested.
