Trail Running calendar near Rowlands Gill 2026-2027

Run from Honister Slate Mine through about 1 km of mine tunnels wearing a helmet and headtorch, then climb to Fleetwith Pike and Grey Knotts. A short but fierce 6 km with 1500 m of ascent and spectacular Borrowdale scenery.

A supported mountain trail on 4 July 2026 that follows a classic Pennine Way section. The 37 mile route passes High Cup Nick, Crossfell and Greg's Hut, with event centre at Alston YHA and coach transport included in the entry fee.

A 9 km fell race near Stanhope, Co Durham on 7 July 2026 with about 300 m of climb. Entry on the day is available for £5 and the race counts as a counter in the North East Fell Running Championships.

Seat Sandal is a Grasmere fell race on 8 July 2026, covering 7.4 km with 700 m of climb through classic Lake District terrain. Day entry only keeps it friendly yet competitive; bring fell kit for steep flagged ascents and technical descents..

Take on the Borrowdale School Bash up Bessyboot in the Lake District: a short but fierce 5.2 km with 456 m of climb, offering stunning fell views and a real challenge. Entry on the day, with beer and a burger for every finisher.

A three leg fell relay at Danefield Park near Otley on 8 July 2026. Each leg is 4.8 km with 170 m of climb and teams of three compete across male, female and mixed categories.

Join this Beacon Hill fell race on Thu 9 Jul 2026 at Lordenshaw car park, Rothbury. A testing 6.6 mile course with 410 m of climb, entry on the day and teams of three welcome for a spirited summer challenge.

Take on the New Embsay Fell Race on Sat 11 Jul: a punchy 2.5 mile course with 195 m of climb through the Yorks Dales. Part of the village fete, enjoy entertainment and refreshments and easy on the day entry for a fun community challenge.

A point to point 40 mile crossing from near Osmotherley to Ravenscar run on a handicap basis. Participants must be 21 or over and carry mandatory safety kit; seven checkpoints supply drinks and most provide snacks.

A roughly 30 mile trail ultra between Whitby and Pickering with 3322 ft of ascent, eight railway stations and partial self navigation. Fully tracked for 2026, it includes checkpoints, GPX files and a 13 hour completion limit.
