Trail Running calendar near Millom 2026-2027

A trail race at Sankey Visitors Centre in St Helens on 1 November 2026, organised by St Helens Striders with a 250 place limit and a minimum age of 15. Entries are handled through SiEntries and parking is very limited.

Trail running on scenic Ullswater shores with 10 km and 14 km options, steamer transfers when possible, compulsory kit checks, and contingency routes if boats cannot sail.

A 10 km BS fell race on 7 November 2026 with about 350 m of ascent, run over a fast, muddy course featuring a steep descent off Stoodley Pike and a steep return climb; race HQ is at the Shepherds Rest Inn in Todmorden.

An annual November off road run of 11k around Burley Moor starting and finishing at Scalebor Park. The marked route climbs to the high point near the Great Skirtful of Stones and often includes muddy, steep sections.

Tackle a scenic but testing fell race in Dunnerdale, Lake District: 8 km with a 550 m climb over rugged hills. Pre entry only, join solo or as a three person team for a classic Broughton Mills Village Hall start.

The Narradale Fell Race will take place in Sulby on Saturday 7 November 2026. You can run 20 kilometers.

A dog-friendly trail event at Swinsty & Fewston Reservoirs with 3.3 mile and 6.7 mile looped routes on mainly off-road paths, marshals, waymarking, feed stations and a bespoke finisher medal.

An annual November trail race organised by Billinge Running Club on a mapped, marshalled **5-mile** route over varied, sometimes muddy terrain. Registration and bag drop are at The Delph Tavern with parking at Up Holland High School.

A 6 hour 32 minute timed challenge in Durham along the River Wear with cathedral views. Finishers of at least 3 km receive a Remembrance medal, a goody bag, and distance pins for longer distances.

A 13.5 mile fell race around Soyland Moor with about 1300 ft of ascent, starting and finishing at the Hinchliffe Arms in Cragg Vale. The course visits Stoodley Pike and follows sections of the Pennine Way; full FRA kit is required.

A trail running event at Bolton Abbey Estate on 8 November 2026, offering 10K, 10 mile, half marathon and a 2.4 mile family fun run, with free parking and proceeds supporting Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
