The Waddington Fell Race takes place on Sunday 27 September 2026 in Waddington, Lancashire. It is a category BM fell race of 11.3 km / 7 miles with 415 m climb. Course, safety and logistics

The start is a short walk from the club, at the lane behind the Lower Buck pub (grid reference GR724437). The route is well marshalled and partially flagged, with one checkpoint at the trig point on Waddington Fell (GR715475). There is a cut-off at the track above Summit House Farm (GR712465) 2.4 miles / 3.86 km into the course; any runner not reaching that point in the specified time will be asked to return to the village and hand in their number. Mountain Rescue will be present on the day and surplus funds will be donated to them.

Registration, toilets and bag storage are available at the village club; bags are left at owners’ risk. Race kit minimum is a waterproof top; full FRA kit (waterproof top and bottoms, hat, gloves, emergency food, whistle, map and compass) may be required depending on weather. Water will be provided at the finish; runners are asked to bring a cup if possible. Prizegiving will be at the Village Club with categories for first male and female, age groups and teams of three.
