Waddington Fell Race 2026 takes place on Sunday 27 September. The event is a category BM with a course described as 11.3 km/7m and 415 m/1,362 ft of ascent. Entry on the day is £5.

Registration is held at Waddington Village Club, Clitheroe Road, BB7 3HW. Bags may be left at the club at the owner’s risk and toilets are available there.

Parking in the village is limited. A small amount of free public parking is available on Twitter Lane and opposite the school on West Bradford Road. Competitors are asked to park considerately elsewhere around Waddington when needed.

The route will be well marshalled and partially flagged. Water is available at the finish and runners are encouraged to bring a cup. Competitors must carry at least a waterproof top; full FRA race kit may be required depending on weather. Suggested items include waterproof top and bottoms, hat, gloves, emergency food, whistle, map, and compass.

The race start (GR724437) is a short walk from the club and marshals will direct runners. There is a cut off point at the track at the top of Summit House Farm (GR712465). One check point is located at the trig point on Waddington Fell (GR715475) and numbers must be displayed for marshals. Mountain Rescue will be present and any surplus funds will be donated to them.

Prizegiving is at the Village Club with awards for first male and female, age categories from U23 and M/F40 to M/F80, and teams of three. Competitors should remove muddy shoes before entering the club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
