Tackle the Hawkshead Show Fell Race in the Lake District a scenic 7.8 km with 244 m of climb through classic Lakeland terrain. Entry is on the day with show admission; seniors 17 plus and children's sports take place on the field.

An approximate 5 mile undulating trail near Treeton Cricket & Football Pavilion organised by Rotherham Running Club on 18 August 2026, marshalled and with post-run refreshments. Entries open 1 June to 16 August; minimum age 16.

Challenge yourself on the Pilgrims Cross Fell Race across the West Pennine Moors, a scenic but tough 10.7 km with 390 m of climb. Entry is on the day only with a small fee, and the race features in the Rossendale midweek series.

A Lake District fell race from the White Horse Inn covering 6.3 km with 882 m of ascent; entry on the day for runners aged 18 and over with a £5 fee and limited parking at the pub.

A club organised event on 20 August 2026 at Whitehills Nature Park offering a flat two lap gravel course with chip timing. Senior and junior races run under UK Athletics rules with age categories and listed entry fees.

Self-navigated trail races in the Peak District offering 41, 26.9 and 15.5 mile courses with large ascent, stocked checkpoints and a finisher medal. Courses start in Edale near the train station.

An inflatable obstacle run in Newcastle with looped 2.5k laps and distance options of 2.5k 5k 10k and 15k, music zones, finisher medal, on course water and family and group discounts.

A 19.5 km fell race around Hartsop with 1,370 m of ascent. The route visits Rest Dodd, the col beneath High Raise, Kidsty Howes, Nan Bield Pass and Gray Crag and includes a 70 minute cut off for CP2.

A challenging fell race in Northumberland's beautiful countryside. The 5.8km route features 300m of climb and is part of the regional championship. Entry is available on the day.

Summer Extravaganza offers five distances on a flat canal towpath near Kirkstall, Leeds. The event includes regular feed stations, marshals, a bespoke finisher medal and food options at the finish.

Timed laps around a flat 5.3 km out and back course on the River Mersey in Chorlton Water Park. This final race in a 2026 Summer Series supports The Animal Sanctuary Wilmslow and includes a bespoke finisher's medal.

A short fell race in Burnsall with a steep 274 m climb over 2.4 km. Entry on the day is available for £6 and junior races run alongside village sports.

A multi terrain fell race at Gargrave Show with river crossings, woodland, open moor and a steep ascent of Sharphaw. Events run for juniors through seniors; race entry is free while show admission is charged.

Multi distance trail event in Preston on 23 August 2026, with 10k, half, marathon and ultra options on mainly hard surfaced park paths. Aid stations, bespoke medals and a six hour time limit are included.

A marked 21 km trail half marathon around Derwentwater and nearby fells near Keswick, Cumbria. The single lap hilly course awards medals and category prizes and requires runners to be at least 17 years old.

A 44 km single lap trail around Borrowdale and over Scafell Pike near Keswick on 23 August 2026, with marked lowland sections and an unmarked mountain section where navigation is required.

A five mile trail race at Pennington Flash on 23 August 2026, organised by Leigh Harriers at Leigh Sports Village. The event is licenced by TRA and held under UK Athletics rules, with separate affiliated and unaffiliated entry prices.

A single-lap, multi-terrain trail race of about 7 miles through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park in Leeds, organised by Valley Striders AC with on-site facilities, age-group prizes and fundraising for St Gemma’s Hospice.

A 21k trail run around Borrowdale based in Keswick, featuring lakeshore trails, woodland singletrack and 550 m of ascent. The course is fully marked, chip timed and supported with hydration and medical cover.
