Trail Running calendar near Lockton 2026-2027

A summer evening trail race at Sledmere House with a scenic 10 km route through chalk valleys and woodland, plus a shorter 3.6 km taster and a children’s Fun Run. Chip timing, a finisher medal and limited entries.

Trail races from Station Top, Otley on public footpaths with 51 km, 25 km and 16 km options plus a 50 km relay; mandatory kit, mapped routes, manned checkpoints and limited facilities at race HQ.

Run the Samaritans Way Ultra on 6 June 2026 in Guisborough with scenic off road 40 km and 60 km options plus a 60 km relay. Race for charity as profits support Teesside Samaritans and enjoy a medal, tee and aid stations.

A 24 hour, 50 mile linear route from Marsden to Ilkley across the South Pennines, visiting six Stanza Stones with poems by Simon Armitage. The event features live tracking, three indoor checkpoints and a finishers meal.

A mountain-course fell race from Horton in Ribblesdale to the summit of Pen-y-Ghent and back, covering 12.2 km with around 500 m of ascent. It is the opening race of the Yorkshire Dales Classics Series.

A 13.2 mile flagged trail race on 6 June 2026 around Wharfedale, starting and finishing at Wharfedale Rugby Club in Threshfield. The route gains over 2,000 feet, follows established footpaths, offers prizes and supports a local rugby club.

A 50 mile point to point ultra across the South Pennines visiting six carved poem stones and Haworth. The route combines high moorland and valley sections with indoor checkpoints, live tracking and finishers mementos.

A backyard style ultramarathon in Dalby Forest on 6 June 2026: ten hourly 5.5 km loops (55 km total), entry includes forest access and two nights camping, and proceeds support Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue team.

A BOFRA fell race at Kettlewell Cricket Field with junior and senior routes, on the day entry and a £3 car parking charge. The route climbs to a ridge, follows the skyline to a cairn, then drops quickly over a short scree section.

An 11 kilometre multi terrain trail run in Kirkby Malzeard, set within Nidderdale AONB and part of the village family fete. The event has Racecheck Gold Awards and includes marshals, way marking, chip timing and a handmade finishers medal.

Tackle the Coppice fell race in Accrington on Tue 9 Jun 2026, a spirited 6.6 km course with 310 m of climb starting from the Whitakers Arms. Day entry only means it is ideal for last minute plans and teams are welcome.

Evening trail runs at Wentworth Castle Gardens with 5 km and 10 km options, live chip timing and on-site parking. The course runs through parkland, woodland and historic estate landmarks, and the event is Canicross friendly.

A volunteer run, three day mountain event in Kirkby Stephen offering distances from 5k to an ultra plus a 25 metre abseil, with proceeds donated to local charities.

An out and back trail race on the Six Dales Trail between Otley and Pateley Bridge on 13 June 2026 offering three distances from half marathon to 32 miles. Mandatory kit and checkpoint rules apply and ultrarunners receive trackers.

A 24 mile fell run and challenge walk through Swaledale on 13 June 2026. The route requires self-navigation and must be completed within 10 hours; entrants must be at least 14 years old.

A 5K charity colour run in Silsden supporting Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, with seven paint stations, obstacles, three laps and a finisher medal. Parking, water stations and post race music, food and a bar are provided.

Roche Abbey Ramble has 6.7 mile, half, 20 mile and marathon options on a scenic lapped trail from the Travellers Rest in Sheffield. Enjoy undulating woodland, marshalled stepping stones, midcourse feeds and a finishers cake and chip butty.

Trail races from Chop Gate on 14 June 2026 featuring marathon, half marathon and 10k courses with self-navigation, mandatory safety kit, downloadable maps and time limits of 10, 6 and 4 hours.

A nonstop 268 mile race along the Pennine Way from Edale to Kirk Yetholm with a 156 hour time limit. Checkpoints provide meals, rest and medical support. Entry requires age 21 or over and qualifying endurance experience.

Tackle the classic Edale Fell Race in the Peak District, a 4.7 miles route with 402 m of climb across dramatic moorland. Pre entry and on the day entry are available, plus junior races and entry to Edale Country Day for runners.
