Mountain Leaders from a professional provider will lead groups on the Copper and Bronze routes and on the overnight section of the Silver route. Silver challengers must self navigate during daylight hours and Gold challengers must self navigate throughout. For 25 km and longer distances each team receives a GPS tracker that continuously monitors progress.
Entry fees vary by distance and reflect event costs, from £61 for 25 km up to £99 for 100 miles. The fee covers qualified leaders, GPS trackers for eligible distances, checkpoints with drinks and snacks approximately every 10 km, printed route guides and GPX files, drop bag care for longer distances, a stew supper on return, a goody bag, and a modest prize pool. Age limits apply by distance and some younger entrants must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
