Clowbridge 5k - Autumn 3/3
A trail 5k routed off the Pennine Bridleway around Clowbridge Reservoir. The event is the third race in a three‑race autumn series held on Thursdays: 3rd, 10th and 17th September 2026. Entry is open to participants aged 11 and over. The course is described as fast and flat with approximately 25 m of elevation gain over the 5 km distance.
Runners complete two laps of the trail path around the reservoir in an anti‑clockwise direction. The route uses the area around Rossendale Valley Sailing Club on Manchester Road, Burnley BB11 5PF. Each race includes prizes and marshals along the course. Parking is available locally, including a lower car park at the Sailing Club and an area at Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir.
The series charges an entry fee of £6.50 for this race. Monies raised from the series will be donated to local causes. The organising body is Run JMC and the event is listed as licensed under ARC pending. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
