Gategill Fell Race on Wed 1 Jul 2026 in the Lake District is a short steep 3.6 km climb that tests hill running and grit. On the day entries only, wear grippy shoes and enjoy refreshments as proceeds support the local community.

Three evening *5 km* races in Edinburgh at Inverleith Park, Leith Links and Fettes. Individual entry is £12 or £30 for all three; chip timing, photos, marked routes and age-category prizes are provided.

A traditional parish boundary event in Patterdale on 4 July 2026 with four route choices from a 28 mile full boundary to a family downhill walk, trackers provided and proceeds supporting the local school and church.

A circular, fully marked 30 km route from Swaledale to the Tan Hill Inn climbing almost 3,000 ft across Coast to Coast and Pennine Way sections. GPX and map are available and aid stations provide vegan and gluten free options.

A 16 km (10 mile) trail loop from Usha Gap Campsite near Muker that follows the second half of the DR30 route, climbing Swinner Gill and returning along the River Swale. Aid stations, GPX route, finishers meal and car parking provided.

A 20-mile unmarked upland route in Northumberland with manned checkpoints, summits of Cheviot and Hedgehope, and separate non-competitive Challenge Walk. Places are limited and time limits apply for walk and run.

A linear mountain trail event of about 37 miles along a classic section of the Pennine Way, with checkpoints at Cauldron's Snout, Dufton, Greg's Hut and Garrigill. Entry includes coach transport from Alston and hostel accommodation options.

MacTuffX Sunderland offers a unique interval based racing format with 400m and 800m repetitions. Participants can compete solo or in teams through doubles and relay categories in this July event.

A 24 km, 680 m ascent fell race from Garrigill that visits the summit of Cross Fell and the source of the River Tees, organised by local volunteers with proceeds to the Langwathby Air Ambulance and Garrigill Village Hall.

Run Edinburgh's seven hilltops in a mixed road, trail and hill event that blends urban navigation with racing. Choose your own route between hilltop checkpoints and opt for the competitive Race or the more relaxed Challenge.

Fell race on 5 July 2026 around Skiddaw in the Lake District, based at Keswick Cricket Club. The course is 15.4 km with 960 m of ascent and entry on the day is accepted for a fee of £10.

Participate in a 9 km fell race through the Durham countryside north of Stanhope. This event is part of the North East Fell Running Championships and features a 300 m climb for runners aged 18 and over.

Take on the Borrowdale School Bash up Bessyboot in the Lake District: a short but fierce 5.2 km with 456 m of climb, offering stunning fell views and a real challenge. Entry on the day, with beer and a burger for every finisher.

Participate in a 1.28 mile run around the historic Elizabethan Walls of Berwick upon Tweed. Runners of all ages aim to complete the course before the Curfew Bell finishes tolling its thirteen minute sequence.

Join this Beacon Hill fell race on Thu 9 Jul 2026 at Lordenshaw car park, Rothbury. A testing 6.6 mile course with 410 m of climb, entry on the day and teams of three welcome for a spirited summer challenge.

A trail ultra along Saint Cuthbert's Way with 100 km and 45 mile options; the 100 km includes a tidal cutoff. The route is way marked, has five timed checkpoints and live GPS tracking for all runners.

A point to point trail event on 11 July 2026 from near Osmotherley to Ravenscar covering just over 40 miles. The unmarked route is run on a handicap basis and requires mandatory navigation and safety kit.

A 10 km race through the historic grounds of Floors Castle in Kelso on 12 July 2026. Mixed road and trail surfaces, a water station near 5 km, finishing refreshments, and medals and goodie bags for all finishers.

Choose from a 5k, 10k, or half marathon on a scenic route through Edinburgh's Holyrood Park. The course includes laps around landmarks like Arthur's Seat on mixed terrain. Dogs are welcome to run alongside participants.

Join the Whinlatter FRA Junior Championships for an exciting day of fell running in Whinlatter Forest Park. With distances ranging from 1.5 km to 5.6 km, this event caters to age groups from Under 10 to Seniors.
