Breaking The Laws - 30K

Breaking The Laws takes place on 13 September 2026 in North Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland. The main event is a 30 km route that starts and finishes in North Berwick and is broken into three relay-friendly legs.

Distances:

  • 30K run, solo or relay (team of three)
  • 10K circular walk around North Berwick Law and Balgone

The 30K route covers 640 metres of ascent and includes roads, trails and hill sections. The first leg climbs North Berwick Law then follows the John Muir Way to East Linton. The second leg goes from East Linton up Traprain Law via the River Tyne and returns to East Linton. The third leg returns to North Berwick and contains no significant hill, which can suit relay teams with differing abilities.

The event is chip timed and fully marshalled throughout. Included on the route are hydration stations, a relay changeover area and first aid cover. Participants receive an event t-shirt and a medal. Free car parking is available.

Blast Running Ltd will donate five pounds per runner or team to Scottish Veterans Residences, a charity that provides supported housing for former members of the UK Armed Forces with services in Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

An eight hour looped trail event at Devilla Forest where participants complete as many 4.366 mile laps as possible. Electronic wristbands record laps and lap times, with distances determined by total laps completed.

A ticketed running event in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh on 5 April 2026 offering 5 km, 10 km and a half marathon, with all distances held at the park on the same day.
