Breaking The Laws 30K

Scheduled for 13 September 2026 in North Berwick, Scotland, Breaking The Laws is a running event that honours the Scottish Commandos and raises funds for Scottish Veterans Residences.

The 30K route starts and finishes in North Berwick and is divided into three relay-friendly legs. The course includes approximately 640 metres of total ascent and mixes roads, trails and hill sections. The event is fully marshalled throughout.

Leg descriptions follow the route geography: the first leg climbs North Berwick Law then follows the John Muir Way to East Linton. The second leg climbs Traprain Law via the River Tyne and returns to East Linton. The third leg returns to North Berwick and contains no significant climb.

Entry options and standard prices are listed as 30K Solo Entry at £30, 30K Relay Team Entry at £45, and 10K Walk Entry at £10. Blast Running Ltd has pledged to donate £5 from every runner or team entry and additional optional donations to Scottish Veterans Residences are accepted.

Included services for participants comprise chip timing, a finisher medal, an event t-shirt, hydration stations, a relay changeover area, first aid cover, free car parking and full course marshals.

A chip-timed 5k, 10k and half marathon at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh with a measured course, hydration stations, marshals and a finisher's medal. Age guidance applies and dogs are not permitted.
