Trail Running calendar near Great Ponton 2026-2027

Trail event in Edale offering ultra, marathon, half and 10 mile courses across rugged Peak District terrain with GPX navigation and remote checkpoints.

Trail half marathon and 10k around Carsington Water on 22 August 2026, run on marked trail paths with marshals and an event village. GPX files are available for both courses.

A Backyard Ultra style 12 hour event at Cadwell Park where runners complete a 6.7 km lap each hour for a potential total of 80.4 km. Categories include solo and pairs plus a six hour non competitive option.

Rumble In The Jumble V is a six hour challenge in Penistone with out-and-back laps along an old railway line, offering distances from 5K to ultra. Aid stations, a choice of medals and a goody bag are provided.

Guided group trail run of 10 km through High Lodge in Thetford Forest, led at a conversational pace with groups based on ability. Mostly flat woodland terrain, trail shoes recommended; parking costs £3 and the entry fee is £12.50.

Take on the Trunce 8, a classic Peak District fell race starting and finishing at Oxspring Playing Field. The 6.2 km route climbs 190 m and entry is on the day for £3, with a junior 3 km race for over 10s at £1.

A one lap trail and road race of approximately 10K at National Trust Lyme in Disley with 272 metres of ascent, full course marshals and marking, free park admission and food vendors at the Timber Yard. Entry options from £28.

Pop up trail running event in Kirkstall with 5 km and 10 km races, licensed by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules, with food and a jumble medal for runners.

A six hour looped trail challenge in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where participants choose how many approximately 5.45 km laps to complete.

Nottingham Running Festival at Nottingham Racecourse in Colwick Country Park features a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and junior race, supports Nottinghamshire Hospice, and includes medals, free photos, chip timed results and an event village.

MacTuffX Bedford on 30 August 2026 is a functional fitness race at Barkers Lane combining ten Xercises with running in solo, doubles and relay formats. A LITE weight division is available and results appear on a detailed leaderboard.

Two junior races in Upper Denby on Monday 31 August 2026, organised by Denby Village Conservation Group. Marked trail courses, medals for category winners, ice cream for finishers and music with stalls at The George Inn.

Scenic 10 km fell race in Eyam with a 3 km junior race, marshalled route, prizes from The Barrel Inn and a post race barbecue and real ale.
