Tackle classic Lake District terrain at the High Wether Howe fell race on Sat 25 Jul 2026, a 14 km route with 485 m of climb starting and finishing at Stepps Hall. Entry on the day is welcome and proceeds support the Shap community fund.

Join the Heart Of The Lakes Rydal Round, a scenic Lake District fell run of 9 miles with 915 m climb around Rydal Park. Entry is on the day and the race opens Ambleside Sports; sports field admission applies.

August 2026

A women only 50 km ultramarathon around Hebden Bridge and Haworth with 5,000 feet of ascent, vegan friendly checkpoints about every 6 miles, trackers, baggage storage, sanitary products and a finisher medal.

A 37 mile loop through the North Pennines AONB run in reverse along Isaac's Tea Trail on 1 August 2026. Options include solo ultra or three person relay, with checkpoints, downloadable GPX, event tracker and a 12 hour cut off.

Borrowdale Fell Race on 1 Aug 2026 is a Lake District fell race of 27 km with about 2000 m ascent based at Rosthwaite village. Pre-entry is required, the fee is £16, teams of three are allowed and minimum age is 18.

A licensed 10 km trail race in Gisburn Forest on 1 August 2026, organised by Pendle Trail Running Club. Entries open in April with entry fees, a race medal, professional photography, chip timing and optional t shirts available.

A fell race on Farleton Knott covering 2.60 miles with 750 feet of climb, listed as a BOFRA Championship counter. Location notes include LA6 1PB, grid reference 536814, and a £3 parking charge.

Join the Round Hill fell race for a challenging 14.1 km course with sweeping York Dales views, starting and finishing in charming Timble village. Entry is on the day for a small fee and part of the proceeds support brain tumour research.

A short fell race at Steel End Farm, Thirlmere in the Lake District covering 4 km with 400 m of climb. Day entry is available free, minimum age 16, and the race carries FRA permit and UK Athletics insurance.

Part of a four-event 10k series, the Darlington Trail 10k is a fast, flat course in Low Coniscliffe, Darlington, open to all ages and abilities. All entrants receive a medal and goody bag, with prizes for top finishers and a series league.

A five mile out and back cross-country race across Eshton Moor along the Pennine Way near Calton, held at Old Hall Farm, Gargrave. Categories range from under 9 to seniors and a number of perpetual trophies are awarded.

The GBultras | Ultra Great Britain will take place in Stranraer on Saturday 8 August 2026.

A 215 mile coast to coast ultramarathon along the Southern Upland Way in Scotland, with 12 staffed checkpoints, mandatory kit checks and a 100 hour cutoff. Entry is by application and runners must meet qualifying and navigation requirements..

A short fell race from Arncliffe Village Green featuring a steep climb to a cairn and a mixed descent. The event counts for the BOFRA Championship and runs alongside a separate four mile road race.

A 17 km fell race in the Lake District with 906 m of climb, visiting Grey Friar, The Old Man of Coniston, Dow Crag and White Pike. Entry is limited to 200, minimum age 18, and FRA mandatory kit and map and compass navigation are required.
