Trail Running Calendar United States 2026-2027

A trail race day at Harriman State Park near Island Park, ID with 1k, 10k, 25k and 50k options, scenic forest and meadow courses, on-course aid and finishers medals; registration opens April 1 and closes August 10.

A 4.61 mile trail race at Moody Park in Claremont NH featuring narrow single track, wet sections and a steep drop and climb at Gravity Cavity. The event is part of the Western NH Trail Running Series and benefits the local parks department.

605 Trail Fest brings three trail distances to Good Earth State Park in Sioux Falls on August 15, 2026, including an 8 mile, a 4.5 mile and a 1 mile youth course. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before.

A cross country style 5K run and 1 mile walk on the fairways of Fallen Timbers Golf Course in Waterville, Ohio. Proceeds support Nature's Nursery and another local Northwest Ohio charity.

Lucky Bucket 5K takes place August 15, 2026 at Eugene Mahoney State Park in Ashland, NE. The off road course mixes dirt trails, grass and paved paths; entries include park admission, food, two drink tickets and a post race gathering.

A trail 5K in Gettysburg on August 15, 2026, with a race shirt option for early registrants and an event bottle opener medal. Brewfest options and tours of the Daniel Lady Farm House and Barn are available the same day.

A timed 5K at Brimfield Winery on August 15, 2026, run on a mostly grass cross country style course. Registration options include a standard 5K with a postrace wine pour and a volunteer plus run option.

A 5K and 10K held at Bull Run Marina in Clifton, VA on August 15, 2026, with in-person and virtual entry options and variable registration fees.

A community alumni, family and friends 2.5K and 5K run and walk at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota. Registration runs April 20 to August 14, 2026; entry fee is $10 and light refreshments follow.

A scenic trail 5K on Wanakee’s 227 acre site in the White Mountains and Lakes Region of New Hampshire, held during Wanakee Homecoming. Proceeds support a camp scholarship fund and facility improvements.

A 4.4 mile run and walk through the woods, trails, and back-roads of Brimson Minnesota with a virtual option. All proceeds support the Brimson Area Volunteer Fire Department, Minnesota's 2025 Fire Department of the Year.

A community event combining a timed 3.2 mile trail run and a one mile Walk in Heels to support Sexual Assault Services. Medals are awarded by age group, with a T shirt purchase option and family friendly activities.

An 8 hour timed trail event at Ross Prairie Trailhead in Dunnellon, Florida, featuring a 6.5 mile berm loop through longleaf pine, oak hammocks and dry prairies. Self crewing and nearby campground facilities are available.

An evening three hour loop event at Roundtop Mountain Resort in Lewisberry, PA featuring a 1.5 mile loop with 600 feet of elevation gain and a separate kids race of about one mile. Pogs are awarded per lap and top finishers receive slammers..

A community cross country style event at Lussier Stadium in Madison featuring a 5 km run and a 1 mile walk; established as a memorial and serving as a fundraiser for LaFollette High School middle school feeder schools.

Loop format trail event at Busse Woods in Ned Brown Forest Preserve on August 15, 2026. Runners complete 3.1 mile loops on crushed limestone and packed gravel with a centralized aid station and distances from 5K to 50K.

A loop trail ultramarathon at Busse Woods in Elk Grove Village Illinois on August 15 2026. It offers 40 mile and 50 mile options, with registration closing August 14 2026.

A timed 5k and 10k on a 100% trail course in Rincon, GA, open to runners and walkers. Each participant receives a shirt and a die cut finisher medal.

A day of timed endurance challenges on a wooded 2.62 mile loop at Tilden Hill Farm in Verona NY. Events finish with an optional pond plunge and a post event celebration with medals and awards.

A USA Track & Field Mountain Ultra Trail sanctioned uphill race at Arizona Snowbowl, roughly 11 miles of ascent with limited entry for 150 runners on August 15, 2026. The course features high elevation, aid stations, and a summit finish.
