Cape Fear Holiday Run - December 12, 2026
The Cape Fear Holiday Run is a timed trail event held at Cape Fear Shiner Park in Lillington, North Carolina, organized by Cape Fear 24 Hour. The course is a 1.17 mile loop that combines a scenic trail section with a short paved segment. Participants complete laps of the loop during their chosen timed event; total distance depends on laps completed.

On-course support includes a single aid station stocked with water, Gatorade, soft drinks, and a variety of snacks. The event is cup-less to reduce waste; participants are asked to bring reusable cups, handheld bottles, or hydration packs. Limited disposable cups will be available. Electronic timing is provided by Clockwork Race Timing.
Facilities and logistics noted for the 2026 edition include ample parking, space for personal aid stations near the start/finish area, and porta-potties on site; permanent restrooms are planned for the future. All finishers receive a finisher's medal, and awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each timed event, plus a special award for most holiday spirit.
Proceeds from the event are donated to the Harnett Food Pantry, a registered 501(c)(3). Registrations are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable. Registrations made by November 10, 2026 are guaranteed a T shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
