Trail ultras at Newton Hills State Park offering 20K, 30K and 50K on a 10K loop with steep climbs, loop aid station, required state park pass, and a multiyear Betty award challenge.
A scenic 5K trail run and walk at Clay County Park in Vermillion with Missouri River and prairie views; a portion of proceeds supports the park.

A 50K at Tuthill Park where runners complete a 0.31 mile loop 100 times with about 90 feet of climb per loop. Entry is by essay and all donations go to charities chosen by the winners.
