Pigtails Run #21 - 12/12/2026

Pigtails Run is a low cost, low support trail running event in Maple Valley, Washington. The start and finish are at the Cedar to Green River Trail entrance near the intersection of 238th and SE Kent Kangley Road (GPS 47.361321237519114, -122.02370750867075). The route is mostly paved blacktop with sections of dirt, gravel and over six miles of crushed rock.

Registration fees vary by registration window and distance, with early and later price tiers for each distance. UltraSignup fees are added at checkout and an after-registration fee applies to late entries. An optional refund guarantee through UltraSignup offers an 80% refund if purchased at registration.

The course is marked with ribbon and some chalk paint at turnarounds and intersections. A manned aid station is located near Light Dental Studios at about 4.25 miles and provides water, electrolyte drink and packaged food; the main aid at the start/finish offers additional hot soup and food. There is one primary port-a-potty at start/finish and possibly more depending on entries.

Safety notes: runners should carry a phone and be self-sufficient. Dogs are not allowed on course and strollers are discouraged. Results are timed with WebScorer and posted on UltraSignup within about 30 hours. A 2:30 PM course cutoff is enforced. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
